* Mark Twain would be displeased to learn that ''TheAdventuresOfTomSawyer'' now meets his definition of "classic." When most people discuss the book, they refer to one scene -- Tom tricking his friends into whitewashing a fence for him. This occurs in Chapter 2. Either that is an incredibly awesome scene, or most people stop reading around page twenty. You can tell that someone has actually read the whole thing when they refer to other memorable scenes, like getting lost in the caves, and Tom and Huck attending their own funeral.
* The UK PC Gamer magazine's review of ''FarCry 2'' was more like a review of the press pack circa six months ealier; features were mentioned that didn't exist, the main factions were repeatedly called by the wrong names, and much was made over the ability to pick factions and missions, something you can't do unless you really hate advancing the plot.

*** Indeed, the quality and style of much of the writing in his plays changes a great deal. This could be attributable to several things, such as many of them being written during different periods (contrast his earlier historical plays with works like ''{{Macbeth}}'' and ''The Tempest'' from closer to the end of his career), bad copies or poor recollections (as all of the plays are reconstructions from different folios or even actors' memories), or because many of them were written to appease British nobles and/or royals and suffer from [[TheProblemWithLicensedGames]]. Of course, this is often used as ammunition by people trying to "prove" that he never wrote his plays and his name was a pseudonym of some writer or another; just about every person who lived during that time period (and even some who didn't) has/have been suggested. All of this confusion leads to many of his less famous (or even simply less quotable) plays being ignored; in some cases just about everything but ''Romeo and Juliet'', ''Macbeth'', and ''Hamlet''. While many people might have heard of plays like ''The Merchant of Venice'' (which is sometimes read in schools) and ''The Taming of the Shrew'', they probably haven't read them and likely don't even know the basic plot.
