* Let and Julia from ''RaveMaster''. Strangely, even after denial from WordOfGod. Maybe WordOfGod isn't quite so God-like.
** ''And'' Elie and Haru -- let's not forget the main characters, shall we?

* Sora and Kairi from ''KingdomHearts''. As "official" as the NoHuggingNoKissing series will get, at least; we get no real intimate scenes, but the feelings they share for each other are obvious (except to a YaoiFangirl.)
** Let's not forget all the Disney Canon couples who appear in the series. Sora and Kairi's relationship is actually compared to quite a few of them.
* Mario and Princess Peach from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros'' and all of its sequels and spinoffs. Considering their history and the fact that Mario will gladly go out of his way to save her, this is hardly a surprise.
** "Unusually", Peach has a ring on her middle finger in ''Brawl''.
** Given how much the two appear together in side games, Luigi and Daisy may be moving in this direction as well.

*** According to the WordofGod, it is [[spoiler: Luke]]. However due to ExecutiveMeddling, the ending became ambiguous.
** Cless and Mint from ''VideoGame/TalesOfPhantasia''.
*** Chester and Arche as well. [[spoiler: When everyone had died in the far future, Arche grieved Chester's death the most.]]
** Stahn and Rutee from ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny'', and since their kid is the main character in the sequel, it's probably the most official of all Tales's couples.
*** And said kid (Kyle) forms another official couple with [[YamatoNadeshiko Reala]]. In fact, in the end of the game [[spoiler:the universe acts to put the timeline back on its tracks, but opens an exception for Reala for her to be with Kyle]]. Because the couple is just ''that'' official.

*** Of course, [[FridgeLogic one might wonder why the game has any]] RelationshipValues at all if they were going to make an OfficialCouple anyway...
*** Does this also mean the alternate romantic scenes in the sequel with Sheena, Raine or Presea just [[{{Discontinuity}} didn't happen?]] They're pretty blatantly romantic. To say nothing of the HoYay as observed by [[FanPreferredCouple Zelos/Lloyd]] [[YaoiFangirl shippers.]] It might be more accurate to say Colette is the ''default'' love interest - you have to do a lot of careful work to get rid of her - but she and Lloyd aren't unavoidable in the same way Luke and Tear in ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'' or [[spoiler: Asbel and Cheria]] in ''VideoGame/TalesOfGraces'' are. Another way of looking at it is that in the expanded universe - OVA, spinoff materials, etc - they're official, but in the game itself, there are multiple canon options for who Lloyd ends up with. [[BaseBreaker Thank god.]]

*** Food for thought - when [[VideoGame/TalesOfSymphonia Zelos]] lists all the Tales series' official couples in ''Viva Tales Of'', he puts Senel with Shirley. That's the closest we got to official word by Namdai about the subject.

** Though the series generally avoids bringing this up with the ancestors until it absolutely has to (the above mentioned couples coming up pretty much at the end of the characters' stories), the [[GeneticMemory central conceit of the game]] makes it so that, eventually, something like this happens with each of the historical characters. Of course, one supposes there's nothing to prevent the Animus user from simply being the result of a temporary fling.
*** Of course, the premise of the game also means that the couples tend to come up only at the end of the character's plots for more logistical reasons: Obviously, once the relationship is... consummated with the next ancestor in the line, the Desmond's genetic memory of the participants ends there.

* Fox and Krystal in the ''VideoGame/StarFox'' games. Ever since her introduction, it's been made clear that one of Krystal's roles (outside of [[MsFanservice the more obvious]]) is that of Fox's LoveInterest. ''Command'' left things in doubt when they split up briefly (some endings featured them getting back together, some featured them splitting apart), but it seems that game is [[CanonDiscontinuity being ignored]] and her profile in ''SuperSmashBrosBrawl'' the later year, whilst acknowledging their "relationship problems" from ''Command'' still cites them as being romantically involved at current time.
** Thanks to AlternateContinuity and ExecutiveMeddling Fox [=McCloud=] is ''at the same time'' interested in Fara Phoenix. Cue FanDumb as the two bases [[BrokenBase fight each other]] over who is the ''more'' official couple.
* ''VideoGame/EarthBound'' has [[ToyShip Ness and Paula]].
** WordOfGod has confirmed [[HoYay Jeff/Tony]], or at least one-sided on Tony's part.
** ''VideoGame/{{MOTHER|1}}'' has [[ToyShip Ninten/Ana]], which is so official that Ana pointblank asks Ninten if he likes her at one point.
* As soon as it was announced that ''VideoGame/GoldenSunDarkDawn'' would feature the children of the characters from the first two games, the [[InternetBackdraft fallout]] was easily predictable as ''VideoGame/GoldenSun'' is a fandom rife with ShipToShipCombat. Sure enough, the [[ShipMates Isaac/Mia and Garet/Jenna]] shippers were disappointed, as Isaac/Jenna was made canon.
** In the second game, Sheba makes a comment to Jenna along the lines of "Aren't you and Isaac, like... an item?"
** However, the [[ShipMates corresponding]] Garet/Mia, while not technically ''[[ShipSinking sunk]]'', would require some serious violations of OccamsRazor and even then wouldn't result in them being HappilyMarried, as ''each'' has a playable child (as does Ivan).

** Speaking of the Female Protagonist, the game seems to be hinting toward [=FemC=]/Shinjiro to be the OfficialCouple, seeing as getting romantic with him [[spoiler: is the only way to save his life.]]

* While it's left ambiguous enough that shippers could argue either way, ''SkiesofArcadia'' hints heavily that its official couple is meant to be a Vyse/Aika/Fina OT3.
** Enrique and Moegi is more official. [[spoiler: The first scene of the ending is their marriage.]]
* Arguably in ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'', this seems to be the case of Litchi Faye-Ling X Lotte Carmine/Arakune. However, Litchi never once referred him as her 'love' (nor declared her love), but more like a really close friend she's desperate to save.
** On a more serious note, there's Jin Kisaragi and Tsubaki Yayoi. There is literally no other woman Jin cares for more than Tsubaki, and pretty much everyone, in-universe and out, can see them being with each other. Ragna makes the connection pretty quick, Noel enjoys the concept (she had pragmatic reasons for taking the job under Jin, or she'd have held out for Tsubaki to have it), and Makoto makes it no secret that she [[ShipperOnDeck ships]] the two of them.
* Liu Kang and Princess Kitana of ''Franchise/MortalKombat'' have been this since the [[VideoGame/MortalKombat4 fourth tournament]]. Kitana offered him a place at her side, ruling Edenia for the foreseeable future. He declined only because of his status as Champion of Earthrealm; Even after Liu Kang's death, his spirit anchored itself to her due to their powerful bond.

* TheKingOfFighters has buttloads of ShipTease of [[{{Het}} of]] [[HoYay all]] [[LesYay kinds]], but very few official couples. Among them we have Kyo's parents Saisyu and Shizuka, as well as Kyo himself and his girlfriend Yuki.

* Mia and Diego from ''VisualNovel/AceAttorney''. Diego's even referred to Mia's boyfriend by Grossberg at one point.
** Also to some extent, Gumshoe and Maggey. If only the big lug could work up the courage to ask her out, weenies just don't quite have the same effect.
** Ron and Desiree Delite

** Since her route is [[TitleDrop the name of the game]], does that mean that the story of the game is her route?
*** That's not so much because her route is the name of the game, but because ''she herself'' is the name of the game (specifically, tsukihime, "moon princess").
** Actually, yes. According to a side-story where all of the girls meet up in a cafe to discuss how things went, Arcueid's path is the story of ''{{Tsukihime}}''. On the other hand, though, her path is not the story of Shiki Tohno, the main character. That honor belongs to either Akiha, Hisui, or Kohaku. Still no word which one of them is part of the OfficialCouple though.
*** The Far Side routes could be considered the story of Tohno Shiki in that it reveals a lot about Shiki's history and secrets, much in the same way as the "Unlimited Blade Works" path in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' being, by WordOfGod, the story of Shirou or Shirou's route. However, again by WordOfGod, Arcrueid's and Saber's routes are the true story in each respective game.
*** It has been implied by Nasu that a never-shown 'Satsuki' route is the basis of Melty Blood. It seems very similiar to the Arcueid route however.

* Ash and Emily from ''Webcomic/{{Misfile}}'' are dancing around the issue right now, mostly due to [[GenderBender personal issues]], but it's fairly obvious that they are going to end up together. The forums like to refer to the two as "lovers without benefits".
** Though it appears they have finally crossed over into Official Couple status with [[http://www.misfile.com/?date=2013-01-16 this page]]

* In ''RedString'', there's Miharu and Kazuo, [[spoiler:SchoolgirlLesbians Fuuko and Hanae]], and the [[EveryoneCanSeeIt almost]] BetaCouple of Reika and Eiji.
** Except until recent developments where Kazuo goes off the deep end and Miharu gives him up. The author has a way of messing with official couples--remember when everyone thought Maya and Fuuko were SO going to be a couple?

* ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' has [[DotingParent Mr. Egbert]] / [[AlcoholicParent Ms. Lalonde]]. They even have a romantic dinner together. [[spoiler: [[TearJerker Then they die.]]]]
** Their Official Couple status is cemented in [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=004294 this update explaining the Troll Romance Quadrants]], where they're given as the paradigm for "matesprits" the closest parallel to human romance that Trolls have.
** Much more recently, Spades Slick and Ms. Paint. Despite implications that he used to have a thing for Ms. Paint himself, [[AuthorAvatar Hussie]] decides not to come between them and declares their ship canon on the spot.

* Webcomic/{{Walkyverse}} has Walky and Joyce.
** In the continuity spin-off ''Webcomic/{{Shortpacked}}'' it's Amber and ''[[DracoInLeatherPants Mike]]'' of all people.

** More recently, we have WebVideo/JesuOtaku / [[WebVideo/WhatTheFuckIsWrongWithYou Nash]] and WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick[=/=]WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows. This one's layered: Lindsay and Todd are dating in real life, but in-character WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick pursues WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows, [[AllLoveIsUnrequited who brushes her off and pines for]] / [[StalkerWithACrush stalks]] WebVideo/ObscurusLupa, who is in a relationship with {{Phelous}} as well.
** Speaking of the Chick, Lindsay and Doug confirmed in the ''{{Ferngully}}'' commentary that all of her ShipTease with WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic was intentional and that the characters [[KilledOffForReal had]] an ambiguous-on-details-but-very-real thing going on.

** Zuko and Mai as well. Like Kataang, it was planned right from the start.

* Kim and Ron on ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible''. When the series came back for a [[PostScriptSeason fourth and final season]], the creators have repeatedly commented that they backed themselves into a corner with the trope, and had to be extremely careful not to jump the shark or gross out the ten-year-olds watching.
** To be fair, the creators didn't expect the show to ''have'' a fourth season, because of Disney's episode-number limit. They thought the series was ending with the ''So the Drama'' movie. The creators have even [[WordOfGod gone on to reaffirm]] Kim and Ron's status as a couple post-series, essentially stating that if there were ever any doubts as to whether their relationship would last, that it would indeed continue to flourish and grow, likely meaning the two end up HappilyMarried not too long after the end of the series.

* ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueUnlimited'' ComicBook/GreenLantern (John Stewart) and [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Hawkgirl]], going through a whole era of being StarCrossedLovers when Hawkgirl's people invaded and she cooperated with them. Even once those issues were eventually cleared up, Stewart was in another relationship and had a hard time due to [[UnresolvedSexualTension lingering feelings]]. Things were made even more complicated when he met his and Hawkgirl's KidFromTheFuture Rex/Warhawk from the ''WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond'' era. The series ends with them apart; it's been stated by WordOfGod they will settle for each other eventually as John [[ScrewDestiny didn't want to]] get together BecauseDestinySaysSo.
** According to the Batman Beyond Unlimited comic (via multi-part short stories), [[spoiler:Vixen is killed by Shadow Thief. John swears revenge and shaves off his goatee. Shayara decides to go with him as Adam Strange appears, telling them that their target is causing trouble on Raan. They zeta-beam there, where in the ensuing fight Stewart slays the Shadow Thief. The Guardians of Oa are less than pleased that one of their officers used their power for revenge, and Stewart is stripped of his ring and place amongst the Corps (on top of that, the Guardians decide not to let Earthlings be Lanterns for a while). After burying Vixen in Africa, a local holy man blesses Shayera and Stewart's relationship, and this eventually leads a bouncing baby bird boy.]]
** And then there's the other official BetaCouple pairs of {{Huntress}}[=/=]TheQuestion, GreenArrow[=/=]BlackCanary (this one arguably done better than in the comics, at that), and {{Supergirl}}/[[spoiler: Brainiac 5]].
* Speaking of ''WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond'', it has the new Batman, Terry [=McGinnis=], and his mostly-steady girlfriend Dana Tan. [[spoiler:The JLU episode "[[FullyAbsorbedFinale Epilogue]]" confirms their OfficialCouple status by strongly implying that Terry was about to propose to Dana.]]
* Chiro and Jinmay in ''WesternAnimation/SuperRobotMonkeyTeamHyperForceGo'' were pretty well set-up from Jinmay's introduction, which is amazing for something ToonDisney used to run.

*** [[PortmanteauCoupleName Spova]] may or may not have some weird circumstances for that. Some of the things said by a voice actor and hinted at earlier in the series point to that Sprx and Nova may have not been originally intended, and is a case of RelationshipWritingFumble. But, if the fan theory is right, it was such a heavily FanPreferredCouple that the creator decided SureWhyNot and gave Sprx a crush on Nova.

* Gwen and Kevin in ''WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce.''
** Along with Ben and Julie later on.

* Fry and Leela in ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}''. Amy and Kif end up as the BetaCouple.
** Played with in some episodes, when their relationship wasn't defined, [[MindScrew yet was official nonetheless]]- the fact that they have feelings for each other was always evident, and they even went out on dates. In an episode where they break up, even Fry was surprised that they were dating.

** This is a weird one. Helga we know loves Arnold from the beginning, but her personality is such that she can't express it by any way other than being horrible to him. She kisses him on an impulse in TheMovie, and a brief flash-forward to the future in one of the specials shows them to be married or at least engaged. The [[WhatCouldHaveBeen infamously-unproduced]] second movie would reportedly have clinched it lock, stock, and barrel.

** In ''Cartman Finds Love'' Cartman and Kyle become an OfficialCouple... well, that's what Cartman says, anyway. Kyle himself wasn't aware of their "relationship" until halfway through the episode.

* As of "Vault of Bones", Finn and Flame Princess in ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'', though that's not to say there won't be obstacles later on.
** There's also Jake and Lady Rainicorn.
* JonnyQuest: The 80's animated series had two tv movies (Jonny's Golden Quest and Jonny Quest vs. The Cyber Insects) both of which featured Race's daughter Jessie. She and Jonny appear to be about 10 to 12 years old. She kisses him in both movies.
** Also, Race Bannon and Jezebel Jade

**** In both ''TsubasaReservoirChronicle'' and ''Manga/XxxHOLiC'', [[spoiler: Clow and Yuuko]] manage to achieve this status despite not appearing together in a single scene, not even in a flashback, and one [[spoiler: (technically, ''both'')]] of them being long dead. [[spoiler: The major tipoff was learning that the only reason one half of this pair continued existing is because the other half wished for it.]]
** Official IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy unrequited love is Tomoyo for Sakura. While most pronounced in ''Manga/CardcaptorSakura'', it seems that every Tomoyo in TRC has an immediate attraction to Sakura...

** In the original series, Shinji and Asuka. [[spoiler:Although he picks her when the whole world ends.]] Misato and Kaji also count [[spoiler:although he dies.]] Hikari and Toji could have counted, but unfortunately they never quite tie the knot.
** In ''Manga/NeonGenesisEvangelionAngelicDays'', it's Shinji/Asuka and Hikari/Touji.
** ''RebuildOfEvangelion'' seemed to be focusing on Shinji/Rei but then the third film came and focused on Shinji/Asuka instead.

* [[StrangledByTheRedString Caspian and Susan]] in the FilmOfTheBook of ''ChroniclesOfNarnia: PrinceCaspian'', despite that Caspian and Susan had nothing of sort in the original books.

* Xavin and Karolina in ''{{Runaways}}''. Chase and Gert, too.

** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' uses the ''Geneology'' pairing system, and requires by a certain point in the game that Chrom, the main character, get married. In addition, any characters that can share conservations and reach rank S will get married on S rank, giving the player some options. However, this game heavily leans toward Sumia being Chrom's bride officially - she is depicted in the game's opening cutscene with Chrom and holding what is clearly their child. Furthermore, if the player does not give Chrom an S-rank wife by the point that the game makes him marry, the game will choose for a woman for him based on support points - and grants Sumia the highest priority.
** Also, whereas most of Chrom's army is free to marry each other, save for several pre-promoted story characters [[spoiler:and the SpotPass characters]], and [[PlayerCharacter the Avatar]] can marry ''any'' character, [[spoiler:including the children from the future]], Chrom and Sumia have very small support pools, with Sumia having the fewest (in the story, Chrom must get married by the eleventh chapter, and if he doesn't have any supports or all of his love interests are married off, he marries a generic village girl.). This is the ''closest'' the game ever gets to this trope, but even then, Sumia and Chrom is easily subverted and both can become the devoted lovers of several other people without the story changing in any significant way.

** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' uses the ''Geneology'' pairing system, and requires by a certain point in the game that Chrom, the main character, get married. * ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'' has three: Tedd/Grace, Elliot/Sarah and Ellen/Nanase.

* ''Discworld'' has several, and there is usually one official couple per arc within the main series. Examples include Vimes/Sybil and Carrot/Angua from the City Watch books (the only arc to have more than one official couple), Magrat/Verence from the Witches books, Moist/Adora from the Moist von Lipwig books, and Mort/Ysabelle [[spoiler: before they were KilledOffForReal]] in the Death books. As of ''Thief of Time'', it looks as though Susan/[[spoiler:Lobsang]] may be set to take over as the official couple of the Death books. The Wizards arc lacks an official couple since wizards are obliged to remain celibate; although this hasn't stopped a few flirtations between the wizards and their female acquaintances, no official couples have developed, presumably because the wizard in question would have to leave Unseen University in order to pursue the relationship. (The events of Discworld/{{Sourcery}} also put quite a damper on any ideas in that direction.)

* ''Series/{{Firefly}}'': Carrying all the requisite drama were Mal and Inara, and Simon and Kaylee. Zoe/Wash, being HappilyMarried, have considerably less drama.

* Yumi and Sachiko from ''LightNovel/MariaSamaGaMiteru''.

* [[spoiler:Mytho and Rue]] get together in the very last episode of ''PrincessTutu''. [[spoiler:Ahiru and Fakir]] have also pretty much become official by then, but it ends [[StarCrossedLovers less happily]] for them.

* [[{{Ant-Man}} Hank Pym]] has had...three now. Hank Pym and [[TheWasp Janet Van Dyne]], Hank Pym and Jocasta and now Hank Pym and Tigra

* Noah and Allie in ''TheNotebook''.

* In "Film/WreckItRalph", we have Fix it Felix Junior and Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun ending up together at the end.

* While mostly having a reputation for slash, the [[ThatGuyWithTheGlasses TGWTG]] fangirl fandom ''adored'' former real-life pairings Linkara/Iron Liz and Spoony/Scarlett. We also had a "that's so adorable!" {{squee}} over Doug getting engaged to his girlfriend.

** ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Blazing Sword]]'' (and to some degree, ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones The Sacred Stones]]'') are an odd mix of following and subverting this Trope. Most ''Fire Emblem'' games leave character coupling a bit more open to truly please as many fans as possible. Generally a main character can have around five possible romantic endings, where background cast generally has at least one, with a few HoYay and LesYay pairings that are less obvious in the English version.

*** The first half of ''Genealogy of the Holy War'' was a memorable exception to this openness, as Diadora becomes bonded to main character Sigurd as soon as she joins the party. This is the type of OfficialCouple that is rare in ''Fire Emblem'' games.

** To further show the confusing quasi-subversion here, ''Sword of Seals'' and its Prequel ''Blazing Sword'' do not deny many Couples. Most of the cast in ''Blazing Sword'' that have kids in ''Sealed Sword'' don't explicitly name the other parent, so 2-3 other characters can end up marrying them by the player's choice of gameplay. Only six of the characters in ''Blazing Sword'' have defined relationships: the Fighter Bartre must end up with the swordmaster Karla, the sage Pent and the sniper Louise are married from the start, and the shaman Canas has a wife and son we never meet [[spoiler: (though it turns out he's one of the mages in ''Sealed Sword'', Hugh).]] Hawkeye is also married, and [[spoiler: the father of archer Ingrene in ''Sealed Sword'']].

** Other examples from throughout the series include Astram/Midia, Julian/Lena, Radd/Ceaser's unnamed sister, Abel/Est and Merric/Elice from FireEmblemAkaneia, Levin/Fury (not outright confirmed until the {{Interquel}} ''Thracia 776'', but VERY heavily implied in ''Geneology'') and Altenna/Areone (non 100% comfirmed, but given she can't be paired with anyone in your army...) from FireEmblemJugdral, and, as a series-wide example[[hottip:*: Excluding Awakening's Anna, who is stated to be a different Anna]], Anna/Jake.
