Technically Icelanders and Faroe Islanders are not "Scandinavian" either, as the strict definition of Scandinavia is only Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The preferred term is "Nordic" which also includes Greenland and Svalbard. Icelanders and Faroe Islanders speak Scandinavian (AKA North Germanic) languages, however.
