*** Somewhat played with in the final duel of Atem vs Yugi for the finale. Although both of them have "Yugi's" deck consisting of monsters he'd used all throughout the show it's split between the two so that neither of them play the same monsters at the same time. Ie: Yugi has Buster Blader, the 3 Magnet Warriors, and Summoned Skull while Atem has Gaia, the King Queen and Jack knights, Big Shield Gardna etc. Atem also has all 3 God Cards, which gives him a massive edge.

* This is used quite a lot in ''Franchise/PowerRangers'', being a nearly once-seasonally tradition. Often they were led by a MonsterOfTheWeek. Zeo and RPM are pretty much the only seasons who haven't had it in some form -- if not identical copies, then an EvilCounterpart team will be featured, like Space's [[ThePsychoRangers Psycho Rangers]], the Spirit Rangers and Five Fingers of Poison in Jungle Fury. Oddly, only ''once'' (the ''very first use'' of the gimmick waaay back in the original series) were they used to ruin the Rangers' good name, and ''never'' have they been used to pose as a friend and backstab a good Ranger. Oddly, the SixthRanger seldom gets a copy. But sometimes Tommy's subverted it, facing his past selves.
