When they are revived, they have to wear a special seal in order to maintain their normal size, and breaking this seal results in their HumongousMecha-necessitating growth.

** Actually averted in the first ''PowerRangers'' film! The two Ectomorphicon Titans are already giant, and the only "growing" is when Ivan Ooze merges with one of them. (Maligore does make himself grow in the second.)
