This blood is what allows them to tap into their various ninja arts as they defend the human world from whatever threats come its way. Interestingly, the powers expressed by various families can be entirely random --- Asagi, for example, has SuperSpeed that borders on TimeStandsStill, whereas her younger sister, Sakura, utilizes solidified darkness. Retired Taimanin Mizuki Shiranui has hydrokinesis, whereas her daughter, Yukikaze, uses electricity.

* The German horror series Geisterjaeger John Sinclair also contains several half-demons. The goddess Pandora said in one issue that half-demons are highly sought after by the powers of the underworld because, like humans, they carry a divine spark within them. In addition, demons always have black blood, while half-demons have red blood, even in their demonic forms.

In most cases, there are two variants of the appearance of half-demons. In the first variant they look mostly human, but have some demonic features, such as horns, claws, hooves, tails, and so on (see the side image). In the other variant, they can change their shape, switching from human to demonic form.

In urban fantasy, they are usually superhumanly strong. Not only are they stronger than humans, but they can often compete with vampires, werewolves and similar creatures, although they are weaker than full-blooded demons. If there are different demon races in this setting, you can expect the half-human offspring of a high-level demon to be able to defeat weaker demons, but none of comparable power to his demonic parent.

** Two unnamed half-demons were Baphomet's personal assassins. They looked like very muscular humans and they fought with modern weapons such as pistols and hand grenades. Due to their mixed nature, they were difficult to defeat. They survived an explosion from a hand grenade in close proximity, something a human couldn't do, and they were also immune to silver bullets, which kill most demons instantly. Ultimately, however, they were destroyed by the cross of Ezekiel.
** Dr. Tod (Dr. Death), a recurring villain, was originally a human. After he was killed, Asmodis had resurrected him and made him a half-demon. For a while, he was an even stronger recurring villain, but was ultimately defeated for good. As a human, he looked like a no-longer-young man in a medieval monk's habit. As a half-demon, he resembled Orlok, but has no vampire traits exept his appearance.
** Ty Frazier is a tall and slim man who has slightly graying and slicked-back hair and wears expensive suits. He can make his eyes glow, throw fire beams from his hands, hypnotize people, create illusions and is immune to consecrated silver. He is also superhumanly strong and can lift a person with just one hand. For many centuries he has overseen a demonic Lotus Eater machine. After it was destroyed, Asmodis tried to kill him for his failure, but Ty escaped and has been an occasional recurring villain ever since.
** Denise Curtis is the daughter of the werewolf demon Lyakon and a human woman. She is a slim, athletic-looking girl of eighteen with light blonde hair. In her human form she already has superhuman strength and a self-healing factor. When her arm was bitten off, it grew back again within a short time. In her demonic form she is even more dangerous. She looks like a two-meter-tall werewolf with two bat wings. In this form she can fly, breathe fire, make her eyes glow red and cause fear in humans, and of course she also has sharp claws and sensitive senses. She's a good person (well, more like a neutral one) with evil powers. She cannot control her anger and therefore her transformations, and repeatedly attacks humans in her demonic form. Her first transformation was at the age of fourteen when she met a boy who wanted to sexually assault her. She transformed and killed him. She initially hated her life as a half-demon and would have preferred to be born as a human, but over time she accepted it and now roams the country as a dark anti-heroine. Due to her mixed nature, half-demon and werewolf, she cannot turn a human into a werewolf through bites, but she is immune to silver bullets.
** Subverted with Nefer-Aton, an evil magician from ancient Egypt. He posed as a half-demon to gain the trust of an ancient Egyptian high priest, but he is actually a vampire. However, due to his old age at the time, he is immune to daylight, which is helpful for him to hide his true nature.

** Warlocks and witches, also known as Lilith's children, are the common children of humans and demons. Almost always the father is a demon and the mother is a human. Magnus Bane once said that it is a rare exception for a warlock to have a human father and a demonic mother. Most warlocks are the children of demons who can change their shape and look like an attractive human. In some cases they also take the form of a spouse or fiancé. Sometimes humans are raped by demons Squick who cannot change their shape.
*** Warlocks essentially look like humans, but have a demonic mark that makes them recognizable. This can be a non-human body part, but also an unusual color of hair or skin. Warlocks from the same demonic bloodline also often have similar markings on their bodies.
*** A special quality of warlocks is that they can perform magic. Most of them make a living through their magic, providing magical services to Muggles mundanes and shadowhunters. While almost all warlocks can cast magic, each of them has varying degrees of power. However, in some cases, warlocks are born who cannot use magic. These are called ifrits.
*** Warlocks are immortal. At some point in their lives they no longer grow older. The more powerful the warlock's demonic parent, the younger they will be when they reach that age. Magnus Bane and Tessa Gray, both children of two lords of Hell, have not aged since they were nineteen.
*** Warlocks are usually infertile, but sometimes adopt a warlock child if it has no family to care for it.
*** Warlocks are mostly independent and keep to themselves, and have no company or community. But many warlocks know each other and can get in touch with each other.
** Sebastian Morgenstern was created through an experiment by Valentine. He gave Sebastian's pregnant mother demon blood. As a result, Sebastian Morgenstern was born as an angel-human-demon hybrid. However, his demonic side prevailed, which meant that he not only had black eyes, but was also evil and corrupt.
** Tessa is the daughter of the demon Belial and a female Nephilim shadowhunter. She has two children with the shadowhunter Will Herondale. James and Lucie Herondale are therefore a quarter demonic. For this reason, both have powers that other shadowhunters don't have, and Will even has yellow eyes.

to:

** Series/Angel:Series/Angel: Half-demons are surprisingly seen more often here than in the original series. Despite their mixed nature, almost all half-demons look almost or even fully human. They have different demonic powers depending on which type of demon they are related to. They almost always have superhuman strength. However, there are also demonic weaknesses. A vampire cannot enter a human's home without their invitation, but can enter the home of a demon or another vampire. It later turns out that vampires can enter a half-demon's home without an invitation, even if humans live there.

Added DiffLines:

*** Connor is the son of the two vampires Angel and Darla. Because vampires are naturally infertile, he was magically conceived and born. For this reason he is alive, and not undead like a normal vampire. He possesses the superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and healing factor of a vampire, but none of the weaknesses such as sunlight, sacred objects, or the need to consume blood. He's actually more of a Dhampyr dhampyr, but because vampires in the Buffyverse are considered a mix of humans and demons (a demonic spirit in an undead human body), he is officially classified as a half-demon.

Added DiffLines:

*** Adam, the Big Bad of the fourth season, is an artificial hybrid. A type of cyborg with undead human and demonic parts. He was originally intended to create many creatures of his kind, but his plans were foiled and he was destroyed after producing only one more demon cyborg.

Added DiffLines:

** One episode features a half-manticore baby. It is the child of a human father and a demonic mother. His demonic family kidnapped the child and wanted to use him for their evil plans, but the Charmed Ones were eventually able to save him.
** Another episode shows a malevolent half-demon named Sirk, with distinctly reptilian features.

* In the finale of Literature/MushokuTenseiJoblessReincarnation, the human Rudeus has two daughters with the demon Roxy, Lara and Lily Greyrat, both of whom are half-demons.
** Rudeus's sister Norn marries the demon Ruijerd and has a daughter with him named Luicelia Superdia.

His theory gains more weight when the elf Lize meets Seika. She sees that the elementals, who are normally attracted to humans, avoid Seika, even though they normally only avoid demons. When a group of demons attack the institute where Seika is taught, one of them realizes that Seika is destined to become the new Demon King. So there is a lot to be said that he could be a half-demon.
