The Hotel Hellion is the bratty little kid that terrorizes the hotel guests and staff, causing trouble and [[HilarityEnsues funny situations]] along the way. Often they are a SpoiledBrat because the hotel's owner is likely their parent, but they may just be spoiled rascals on vacation who in reality are good kids.

This can extend to places that, while not exactly hotels, are functionally similar such as cruise ships, fraternities or even plain old apartment buildings, where the child in question may be the landlord's.

* That kid who [[CouchGag changes the sign every episode]] in front of ''Series/FawltyTowers'', although he's implied not to be a guest and to simply live in town. The episode "Gourtmet Night" also briefly features a BrattyHalfPint named Ronald who complains about the hotel restaurant's chips (French fries, to North American viewers) being "the wrong shape" and "just awful", although aside from complaining, he doesn't actually cause any real trouble.
* In "The 70's MiniSeries" , a Republican intern goes to the hotel where the Democratic Convention is being held and steals the shoes out outside for shining, dumping them down the laundry chute.

* Quinn Morgendorffer becomes one in ''WesternAnimation/{{Daria}}'', when her family are rehoused in a hotel after her father burns out the kitchen. She teams up with an employee claiming to be son of the owner, who blithely says thousands of dollars' worth of extra services can be written off because he is related to the owners. She happily runs up a massive bill. He isn't. He's just a lowly bellhop who's infatuated with her. Chaos ensues.

* ICreator/CharlieSheen reportedly vandalized a Plaza Hotel suite themed after the character in a drug-fuelled rampage shortly after coming out of rehab.

* In an adult version, there is a reason many hotels are sometimes reluctant to rent to musicians (rock and metal artists are the most notorious, but rappers are close behind, with many others competing), their entourages, or fans in town for a show. SexDrugsAndRockAndRoll and HookersAndBlow get invoked, and once they are, enough of the people invoking them will become adult Hotel Hellions, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

* In an ironic inversion from the Eloise formula, Creator/CharlieSheen reportedly vandalized a Plaza Hotel suite themed after the character in a drug-fuelled rampage shortly after coming out of rehab.
* Similar concerns were brought up by hotel manager Alphonse Salomone (yes, ''that'' Mr. Salomone) when Music/TheBeatles arrived in the United States for their first Ed Sullivan Show appearance in early 1964. He was worried about the possible damage that would ensue should the band check in at the Plaza and considered cancelling their reservations, but was persuaded otherwise by his young daughter.

* Providing the page image is ''Series/TheSuiteLifeOfZackAndCody'', which has the titular twins, Zack and Cody Martin, who live in the hotel (as their divorced single mom works there as a lounge singer) and cause trouble (especially in the case of Zack).
