* ''Film/TheAviator'': A classic type 2. Creator/LeonardoDiCaprio is right for only the first few scenes, then looks way too young during the rest of the movie. Makes it look as if everything accomplished by the middle-aged Howard Hughes was actually accomplished by a man still in his 20s.

* In ''Film/FiddlerOnTheRoof'', then-35-year-old [[Creator/ChaimTopol Topol]] played Tevye, whose age isn't specified but who's been married for 25 years and has three daughters of marriageable age. He was only 10 years older than the actress who played his oldest daughter. Paul Mann, 23 years older than Topol, played Tevye's daughter's much older suitor Lazar Wolf, who's implied to be around Tevye's age.

* In ''Film/FiddlerOnTheRoof'', Tevye's age isn't specified, but he's been married for 25 years and has three daughters who are of marriageable age, so at least early to mid-forties seems like a pretty safe bet. [[Creator/ChaimTopol Topol]] was only about 35 when he played the role. Creator/PaulMann plays Lazar Wolf, Tevye's daughter's much older suitor, who is implied to be around Tevye's age; Mann was 23 years older than Topol.

* In ''Film/DanInRealLife'', 24-year-old Creator/EmilyBlunt plays Ruthie Draper, who's supposed to be 40-ish. (Her age is never specified. She went to high school with Mitch and Dan, whose ages are also not stated, but Dan has a 17-year-old daughter and is played by Creator/SteveCarell, so it is safe to say that the characters are at least in their 40s.) Ruthie has had a lot of plastic surgery, herself being a plastic surgeon.

* ''Series/{{Forever|2014}}'': Abigail Morgan is played by MacKenzie Mauzy in flashbacks from 1945 to the Vietnam War era, with only changes in clothes and hairstyles to show the passage of time. Averted when the age-appropriate Janet Zarish played the role in 1982 and 1985 flashbacks.

* In TheNewTens, when the annual Hall of Fame inductions came around, it became increasingly suspicious at how much younger the female inductees were compared to the men (though in all fairness, a lot of this is because women wrestlers tend to retire at younger ages than the men do). The initial women inducted into the Hall of Fame were Wrestling/TheFabulousMoolah, Wrestling/SherriMartel, Wrestling/MaeYoung and Wrestling/WendiRichter - who were indeed older, and the younger two (Wendi and Sherri) were in their late forties and had been retired for nearly two decades. The next inductees [[Wrestling/TammyLynnSytch Sunny]], Wrestling/TrishStratus and {{Wrestling/Lita}} were much younger (their late thirties in fact) and, given Sunny's status as MsFanservice when she was in WWE, may have been sending [[OldMaid mixed messages]]. Wrestling/BethPhoenix and the Wrestling/BellaTwins' inductions came as a shock both because of their youth (Beth at 36 was the youngest inductee, beating Trish's record when she went in) and how soon the inductions came after their retirements - Trish, Lita and Sunny had been gone from wrestling altogether for nearly a decade, whereas Beth and the Bellas had only a couple of years out of the company and were the same age as some of the women still wrestling actively in it. Of the other female inductees - {{Wrestling/Ivory}} and {{Wrestling/Jacqueline}} were in their mid-fifties while Wrestling/TorrieWilson, Wrestling/MollyHolly and Wrestling/StacyKeibler were all 43 when they were inducted.

* ''Film/{{Titanic}}'': Creator/GloriaStuart at 87 played older Rose, who is 100. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] given her advanced age; there aren't a lot of actresses in their 90s to choose from.
