They're notable for being one of three species that aren't mammals or birds (the others being alligators and frogs, the latter of which is one of two that are also fish that can be caught, along with the Octopus) and the only one that's based on an invertebrate. They're also the rarest villager as there's only 4 of them in the whole series.

* Zelig, the vaguely cuddly coconut octopus on ''Webcomic/{{Academia}}'', who functions as a sort of TeamPet.
