** In the episode "Find Her, Keep Her", Kessie, the little bird Rabbit is taking care of, floats away in a soap bubble while Rabbit bathes her.

** ''VideoGame/SuperMarioLand2SixGoldenCoins'': In the Hippo level, Mario has to enter a bubble and hover [[JourneyToTheSky all the way up]] to the skies until reaching Space Zone. This level has to be replayed every time Mario wants to return to that world.

** ''VideoGame/YoshisStory'', the sequel, features prizes stuck in super-rubbery bubbles that projectiles can break. (You can actually break the bubbles using only Yoshi's body if you bump into them or jump on them enough times. It takes a while, but can be done.)

** ''VideoGame/RainbowIslands Revolution'' has Bub as a human floating in a bubble the whole time, relying on the player's stylus to move him around. [[BadExportForYou Japan is lucky to be able to use the D-pad]].
*** Bub as a dragon is also able to float in a bubble when one holds down the bubble button in ''Bubble Bobble Part 2'' for the Game Boy. (The NES version has him [[BalloonBelly actually inflating]] instead.)

* ''VideoGame/YoshisIsland'' has Baby Mario (and any baby character in ''Yoshi's Island DS'') enter a bubble and float up when he's knocked off Yoshi's back. Take too long to retrieve him and he gets kidnapped by Toadies. Some transformation powerups are also kept in bubbles.

* This can happen to Wario in the ''VideoGame/WarioLand'' series. ''VideoGame/WarioLandII'' also has a boss named Awabo who is a living bubble trying to float Wario out of the arena.

* ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'': Muriel and Courage seperatly float in one with Di Lung's frog in "Squatting Tiger, Hidden Dog"

This also seems to happen to Shizuka in some of the movies, specifically ''Nobita’s Three Visionary Swordsmen'', ''Nobita in the Wan-Nyan Spacetime Odyssey'', and ''Nobita’s Great Battle of the Mermaid King''.

** In ''Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie'' Mew and Mewtwo both use this technique to battle each other, the former of which was introduced sleeping in one.

* LiveActionTV/ComedyCentralRoastOfPamelaAnderson: Invoked when Pam makes her grand entrance. She descends from the ceiling seated in a chair shaped like a bubble and with ''actual'' bubbles floating all around her.

* In ''[[VideoGame/BanjoKazooie Banjo-Tooie]]'' the only way to get in and out of Cloud Cuckooland is via bubble lift.

* ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}'' has [[SquishyWizard Patchy's]] spell card, Water Sign "Jellyfish Princess", which creates a protective bubble for Patchy to float around in. When it's used by the actual player, the bubble doesn't cause her to float, acting as more of a general barrier for defense.

* [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Rick Sanchez]] apparently has a gizmo capable of this when he needs to get the kids out of the house. Summer is in the middle of protesting that there's no ''air'' in these bubbles when she and Morty are encased in them and carried away.

** In "Prime Evil's Good Deed", Jake Kong Jr., Eddie Spenser Jr., Tracy the Gorilla and Big Evil get caught in bubbles with The Bubble Blaster.

* ''Animation/PleasantGoatAndBigBigWolf'': In ''Pleasant Goat Fun Class: The Earth Carnival'' episode 10, the goats go down several slides representing the seven colors of the rainbow. Sparky winds up trapped in an orange-colored bubble after going down the orange slide. Wolffy is also seen floating in a purple-colored bubble and collides with Sparky as he's floating in his orange bubble, causing the latter to fall to the ground in a nearby pool of water.
