When this is done on purpose to an ActionGirl as CharacterDevelopment, it's an AdrenalineMakeover. Compare BeautifulAllAlong, HiddenBuxom, ProgressivelyPrettier, and SheCleansUpNicely, which is when this happens to characters who are initially not supposed to be considered attractive. Also compare SelfFanservice, which is when fan-artists make their own Fanservice Packs. And let's just say puberty was very kind on them. Red now has sharper features and has clearly gained a few pounds in muscle, and Blue has gotten even more {{Bishounen}} and sports a more relaxed look.

** Winry subtly... gets bigger. Fully justified in that she's a developing teenage girl and the series spans at least a whole year.
** Ed gets taller and more broad-shouldered as the series progresses, gradually going from 4'11 to 5'5.. Winry actually takes notice at one point.
* Motoko Kusanagi seems to have had a breast-size-upgrade between the first season of ''Anime/GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex'' and ''[=SAC: 2nd GiG=]''. She also started to wear pants, around the same time, so this goes both ways. She gets a new body near the end of the first season. It's the same body model that she was using before, and she mentions that because she's working for the government, it has modified specifications well beyond standard legal limits. This basically means that she actually gave ''herself'' a Fanservice Pack. Her roommate Kurtan is sexually aroused by this. Also on meta level, her appearance in Creator/MamoruOshii's movie her appearance was heavily built and utilitarian with almost masculine facial features and her personality is cold and asexual. ''Stand Alone Complex'' gave her a sense of humour and occasional flirty moments, although this is in fact closer to characterization in Creator/MasamuneShirow's original manga.

* Most of the younger females in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' got this after the time skip. Hinata for example still wears her massive baggy jacket but now she has a very noticeable bust underneath it. After the finale she [[FormFittingWardrobe discards the baggy clothing altogether]], which shows off her [[SheIsAllGrownUp incredible figure]].

** Kaneki begins the series as a scrawny nerd that's kind of plain but cute. After six months of intensive training, he's developed a six-pack and runs around in a skintight black outfit. Taken even further in the sequel, as he's finished puberty and built up even more lean muscle through constant training. He tends to wear nicely-tailored suits, but also makes for one [[AttractiveBentGender attractive woman]] when DisguisedInDrag.
** Preteens Hinami and Ayato both return ''much'' more attractive in the sequel, thanks to the blessings of puberty. Hinami has developed into a buxom young woman, while Ayato has developed into a tall and handsome man and is also fond of the aforementioned skintight black oufits that show off his chiseled physique.

* Wolfwood in ''Manga/{{Trigun}}'' lost more and more shirt buttons as time went on, culminating in the movie released in 2010 giving him a borderline ImpossiblyLowNeckline. The 2023 reimagining ''Anime/TrigunStampede'' took things much further by removing his hooked nose, sideburns, and crow's feet, but this was not well received by most of his fans, who thought those traits were what made him attractive in the first place. [[spoiler:It turned out to be because he's ''much'' younger than he looks in ''Stampede'' -- possibly not even in his twenties -- since he was a prepubescent child aged into adulthood in a matter of months by brutal experiments, which would render any sexualisation somewhat FanDisservice.]]

** When she first appeared, the Dark Magician Girl was just another female monster, no more attractive than any monster before her and actually a fair bit more conservative than many. By the time of Season 4 though her face is prettier, her body more shapely including larger breasts, and she's acknowledged in-universe as a sex symbol, to the point the sequel series ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'' made it a RunningGag that Syrus has a crush on her, and an episode revolved entirely around her spirit manifesting during a festival and the entire student body drooling over her.
** Several characters, male and female, get his with this in Darkside of Dimensions. Tea Gardner is probably the most noticeable. Puberty must have hit her like a speeding truck, because she gained about three cup sizes since the end of the original series. She's also wearing noticeably tighter and more revealing clothes, with a skirt that it probably pushing it, even by the standards of Anime School Uniforms.

* ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'' made the returning female cast more conventionally attractive across the board, generally by adding makeup and/or increasing their bra size. Ashley Williams in particular was noted to have her practical hair bun replaced with shoulder-length model hair, and her suit of armor replaced with a skin-tight pansuit and high heels (though she does get back into armor later in the game).

When a character, usually a female character, gets made more attractive during the run of a show. Sometimes justified as [[SheIsAllGrownUp the actions of puberty]], when a younger character (or [[RealLifeWritesThePlot actress]]) starts filling out as they grow up. BuxomBeautyStandard is often at play.

When this is done on purpose to an ActionGirl as CharacterDevelopment, it's an AdrenalineMakeover. Compare BeautifulAllAlong, HiddenBuxom, ProgressivelyPrettier, and SheCleansUpNicely, which is when this happens to characters who are initially not supposed to be considered attractive, and SelfFanservice, when fan works reshape an unattractive character into a beautiful one. If done on an adaptation, it's AdaptationalAttractiveness, or AdaptationalSkimpiness if the main part of it is a more revealing costume. Contrast GirlinessUpgrade. ** Orihime's bust -- already [[UnusualEuphemism super-size]] to start with -- has steadily grown larger as the art style evolved. Following the TimeSkip, her breasts grew even more and put her in the same category as Rangiku and Adult Nel.

* The angels in Literature/TheBible were never depicted the way they were illustrated by Renaissance artists: resembling fair-faced humans with fluffy white wings, illuminated in a golden penumbra and occasionally baring a breast. The now-accepted image of an angel is OlderThanPrint yet NewerThanTheyThink. While angels are barely described in the Bible, it's implied that when visible to mortals they have an awe-inspiring but somewhat fearsome appearance. None of Adam's descendants ''dare'' to return to Eden once it is angel-guarded, and the first words of the Messenger to the shepherds are "Fear not!" The Apocrypha ascribe some StarfishAlien appearances to angels (albeit with an emphasis on feathery wings) and number Death as one of the angelic host -- probably the only one who has never been re-interpreted as a vapid blonde in a glowing nightgown.

* In ''VideoGame/EverQuest'', Firiona Vie was blatant fanservice from the beginning, but around the ''Shadows of Luclin'' expansion they turned her top, formerly more or less a sports bra, into two pieces of cloth laced together. Years later Sony Online Entertainment decided to deliberately try and get away from their reputation of using fanservice to sell ''[=EverQuest=]'' and returned Firiona Vie to her original look.

* ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'' made the female cast across the board more conventionally attractive, generally by adding make-up or increasing their bra size. Besides the changes that everyone got, her practical hair bun got replaced with shoulder-length model hair, and her modest hardsuit got replaced with a minidress, tight pants and high heels.

* ''VideoGame/DanganronpaAnotherEpisodeUltraDespairGirls'': Toko Fukawa is a lot bustier than how she was in the first game.

** Micaiah, the main protagonist in''VideoGame/FireEmblemRadiantDawn'' got a bit taller and a lot bustier when she returned as DownloadableContent in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening''.

* ''VideoGame/NintendoWars'': The ""Reboot Camp"" rerelease gives all of the female characters a significant bust increase. The CO power cut-ins allow you to appreciate their enhancements much more.
