** ''VideoGame/MetroidPrime2Echoes'' starts out with Samus entering a Galactic Federation base, only to find that all of the soldiers she had been tasked with rescuing have been brutally murdered. As she investigates further, all of the corpses suddenly come back to life as undead "Dark Troopers" and start attacking her (they're kind of rubbish, though). They continue to shamble about the base even after she leaves, but they never have a significant appearance later on in the game's plot.
