* In a strange aversion of nearly every other aspect of this trope ''JudgeDredd'' has Bionic Eyes, given to him after his real ones were ripped out of their sockets by a zombie version of himself from the future. In keeping with the Dredd ethos of him just being a regular human though (albeit at the peak of his abilites, in the same manner as Batman) they give him no special powers, apart from standard 20:20 vision. As you never see his face either, you don't even know if they look different, so essentially they've had no functional impact on the character or story.

** Your vision only looks any good because your brain edits out the worst bits... the blind spots, the poorly focussed regions, the bits around the edge that are more sensitive to light and movement than detail, etc etc, and fills in the gaps with what it expects to be there. Displaying the actual output of your eyes on screen would probably look far worse than grainy low-res video.
** You are giving human eyes far too little credit. No amount of brain post-processing would make a low resolution video such as in robocop into what people normally see. Otherwise myopics wouldn't need glasses, their brain would automagically sharpen everything.

* Replace "electronic" with "magical" and you have Mad-Eye Moody's fake eye in ''HarryPotter''. It replaces an eye (his right in the books and his left in [[Film/HarryPotter the movies]]) which he presumably lost during the First Wizarding War. It can rotate 360 degrees and has XRayVision, meaning he can literally see out the back of his head. In the movies, it additionally has a zoom function. It is unknown whether magical eyes like this are the standard replacement for lost eyes in the PotterVerse or if the device is a unique invention used only by Moody.
