In a dark subversion/deconstruction of the CaptainPatriotic, he wears a flag-printed costume as a way of mocking the American way; he doesn't actually care about American values and only became a masked vigilante as an outlet to vent his violent urges.

* A montage in ''Film/GodzillaFinalWars'' shows daily life in various world cities being interrupted by ''daikaiju'' attacks. Apparently, daily life in New York consists of pimps pulling guns on cops in the middle of the street. Also, the two American main characters are a quite possibly insane BadassNormal (emphasis on the "badass") and a self-important NietzscheWannabe, neither of whom, despite living in Tokyo, [[GratuitousEnglish ever say one word in Japanese]]. The highest grossing movie ever in China as of 2017, ''Wolf Warriors 2'', has a murderous American mercenary commander as the BigBad who the Chinese protagonist [[MightyWhitey must defeat in order to nobly protect the helpless Africans.]] Given how all Chinese films are [[BackedByThePentagon backed by their Government]], the propagandic bent isn't the least bit surprising. The movie was released around the time where American and NATO government representatives, as well as human rights group, starts putting pressure toward China for the alleged human rights violations in Xinjiang, in which the Chinese government responds as "fake", "fabricated" or "meddling". Note that big American films as of 2010 to this day generally avoid depicting China the same way, as China remains a big market for American action movies and most Hollywood movies are co-produced with Chinese studios in order to be treated as domestic product in China due to tightening import laws.
