** The honorific used by Deidara when addressing his partner-in-crime Sasori got translated to English in Shippuden as "Sasori, my man" (and in some cases, "My man Sasori". To older audiences, this line is [[Hoyay dripping with bromance]], which is probably a reason why it became a [[MemeticMutation meme]] in the fandom.

* In the English dub of YuYuHakusho when Sensui explains Sensui's backstory he says that he had been stalking Sensui to get closer to him. There is no such reference in the Japanese version, nor the manga.

* ''Dragon Power'' made only a weak effort to cover up its origins as a ''DragonBall'' LicensedGame. Players familiar with ''DragonBall'' (which wasn't released in the U.S. until later) can still recognize, for instance, the Turtle Hermit as Master Roshi. In this version, the Hermit insists that Nora (a purple-haired version of Bulma) give him her "sandwich." So, is ''that'' what he calls it?

* There's a scene in TheSimpsons [[TheMovie Movie]] where [[CloudCuckooLander Ralph]] sees Bart naked and exclaims "I like men now." In the Finnish dub, this was changed to "Tykkäänkin pojista" ("I like boys too"), changing Ralph from straight-gone-gay to [[BiTheWay having been bi the whole time]]. For those unaware, Ralph is ''eight'' and the TropeNamer for RalphWiggum.

When he sees Misty (in a bikini) his original Japanese line is something to the effect of "come back in about eight years and we'll have some fun". In the dub, his body language (right down to the blush and lewd grin) stay the same, but the line becomes "[[{{Squick}} you look like my granddaughter]]!".

* ''SailorMoon''. Turned lesbians into incestuous lesbians. Calling them "[[KissingCousins cousins]]" without making ''any other changes to the romantic atmosphere '''at all''''' does ''not'' hide the [[GirlsLove girl-on-girlitude]]. To make matters worse, there was sometime subtext that was not even in the original, such as in their debut, Michuru denies being Haruka's lover, whearas Michelle denies that Amara is her "prince."
** Re-popularized the UnusualEuphemism of "talent" for "breast size". The characters were trying out for the play Snow White and Makoto says she should be chosen because of her breasts. The dub version had her refer to her being '''the most talented''' instead, but didn't edit the gesture that made it ''abundantly'' clear what Lita (dub name for Makoto) [[IfYouKnowWhatIMean meant by]] '''talented'''.
** Then there was the scene where the villain Mimete's bare leg is bopping up and down from off screen which pans to reveal that she's... playing twister. In the dub this scene is even saucier as Mimete's voice actress makes all sorts of sultry moans during it.

** Also, when the team is going to play a game and can't decide which, Davis says "How 'bout StripPoker?" as another character walks in and interrupts. Presumably, ThePowersThatBe were paying more attention to the newcomer than the still-talking Davis and it [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar got past the radar]]. The fans noticed, though.
** ''Then'' there was the time the team were trying to get Cody and Ken to get along, but Davis was trying to figure out the Digivolving problem (long story) and getting in the way, so Yolei comes to redirect his attention. However, they did rebel, once - in a scene where the ex-loli was wearing a towel, the redraw gave her visible nipples.
