** In ''[[UpdatedRerelease Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix]]'' Larxene's battle uses this to full effect. In fact, one of the Action commands during this fight has Sora throw one of the duplicates at another, forcing them to reintegrate.

* In the original series, Hound (whose power is [[MasterOfIllusion projecting holograms]]) did this once as a distraction. It worked pretty well, too.

* In ''[=~Demon's Souls~=]'', the Fool's Idol creates duplicates of herself as her HP are depleted. The fakes only shoot weak Soul Arrows at you, but the real one uses the upgraded Soul Ray.

* Triplicate Girl / Triad / Duo Damsel from ''{{Legion of Super Heroes}}''.

* Cackletta does this in ''Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga''. The trick is that the two duplicates can only attack one brother at a time; the real one can attack both.

*** The original Ghini also moves differently than the others (moving in the cardinal directions as opposed to diagonals only, if memory serves).
* Gemini Man from ''MegaMan 3'', true to his name, splits into two bodies when he fights Megaman.

* You could argue that Yugi's "Magical Hats" card is like this in ''{{Yu-Gi-Oh}}!'', although they don't encircle.

*** It's important to note that it is impossible to block or dodge if performed correctly. Which requires you to have more willpower than your opponent. [[spoiler: Besides, the big problem is that if you block/dodge it, the sonic boom pulls you in!]]
*** I think there's a misunderstanding here. Kenshin's 9-hit attack is a separate one from the REALLY final ultimate attack, a battojutsu sword-drawing move that is intended to kill in one strike. The air vacuum that pulls the enemy in is an effect from the second move, not the first.
