Kratos was aware of exactly what was going on [[spoiler: because he's an angel of Cruxis and it's his job to ensure Colette releases all the seals and loses her humanity]], and Raine mentioned at the Tower of Salvation that becoming an angel meant [[spoiler: dying, and the two could be considered the same thing]]. Sheena might've known what was going on, but it seems more likely from her reaction that she was only aware of what would happen to [[spoiler: Tethe'alla]] should the Chosen complete the Journey of Regeneration, and not what becoming an angel entailed.
