*** It may be worth mentioning that George VI was actually named Albert Frederick Arthur George and was ''called'' (by the family) Bertie. He deliberately chose George as his regnal name to emphasize continuity with the reign of his father George V. He was named Albert after his grandfather though, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, best known as the dead husband of Queen Victoria. George VI was actually born on the anniversary of Prince Albert's death, and his birth is what finally brought Victoria out of mourning, making him a double version of DeadGuyJunior, with a dash of ReplacementGoldfish to boot.

* Goku named his son, Gohan, after his adoptive grandfather in ''[[Manga/DragonBall Dragon Ball Z]]''. Anime-only fans also tend to point out that Kuririn named his daughter, Marron, after his {{Filler}} ex-girlfriend, ''Maron,'' but it's slightly more likely that the anime writers and Akira Toriyama simply thought of the same pun: the "kuri" in "Kuririn" means "chestnut," which "marron" is French for.
