This trope is also TruthInTelevision. [[CuteKitten Many baby animals, whether]] [[PreciousPuppies of the carnivorous persuasion]] [[EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys or the simian persuasion]], sport them. In some cases, the eye teeth can be naturally pushed forward, hence giving one a semi-fanged appearance. Some domestic cats in particular, even as adults, have a tendency to have longer than normal fangs that gives them this look. In Japan, this is called "yaeba" (literally, "double teeth") and is regarded as cute. Many girls actually undergo a surgical procedure to achieve this effect.

[[index]]
* CuteLittleFangs/AnimeAndManga
[[/index]]

[[folder:Anime and Manga]]
* Mara, the demoness from ''Manga/AhMyGoddess'', has these; in her case, they seem to emphasize that she's ''less'' dangerous than she looks -- the series is primarily a romantic comedy, and so she would be out of place if she were a real danger. Plus they let her make a vampire joke in the TV series.
* Haruko from ''{{VisualNovel/AIR}}'' has them, even though she is generally depicted as a nice person, albeit with some issues.
* This is done constantly in the 6 episode OAV of ''Anime/AllPurposeCulturalCatgirlNukuNuku''.
* Yui of ''Anime/AngelBeats'' has a pair of them, though only one is generally seen.
* Aria from ''LightNovel/AriaTheScarletAmmo'' also has these, sometimes more prominent than others.
* ''Manga/ArpeggioOfBlueSteel'' has Ashigara, whose fangs match her aggressive lust for battle.
* Another male example comes in the form of the Medicine Peddler from ''Anime/AyakashiSamuraiHorrorTales'' and ''{{Anime/Mononoke}}''. They're more subtle than usual, so unless he's gritting his teeth or yelling (not something he does a lot) you barely see them. But they're there.
* In a FreezeFrameBonus moment, Nyamo from ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'' has one when she's drunk in Episode 14.
* Hachikuji from ''{{LightNovel/Bakemonogatari}}'' has these, and they see a lot of use, since her standard retaliation when she and Araragi end up fighting is to bite him with all her might.
* Valt's younger twin siblings Toko and Nika from ''Anime/BeybladeBurst'' have a fang permanently poking out of their mouths.
* ''Manga/BlackLagoon'': Revy has one of these in some of the omake. Especially notable in Omake 2: ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glG_kRqPLUE Mahou Shoujo-hen]]'', where she is very bright and cheery... [[TriggerHappy until she pulls out those two pistols]].
* ''{{Manga/Bleach}}'':
** Hiyori Sarugaki of is often teased about her prominent little fang by fellow Vizard Shinji Hirako, and later by Ichigo, at which she promptly [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this by saying the fangs are one of her charms. She has a fang ''and'' buck teeth, and it makes her even funnier.
** Haineko, the manifested spirit form of Rangiku Matsumoto's zanpakuto, has them.
* Rin has one, being the son of Satan, in ''Manga/BlueExorcist'' after his demonic power awakens. If he's pissed off or goes berserk, it falls under FangsAreEvil.
* Index from ''LightNovel/ACertainMagicalIndex'' exhibits these at times, usually when about to bite Touma.
* Delmo in ''Anime/CosplayComplex'' possesses them, even though she is a bunny girl. Apparently rodent teeth are not as cute though.
* In ''Manga/DeliciousInDungeon'', [[spoiler: Izutsumi has them thanks to being a [[CatGirl cat beastkin]].]]
* ''Anime/DigimonTamers'': Impmon and his evolution Beelzemon, after he pulls his HeelFaceTurn.
* Cute Little Fangs can be seen on Micchy, resident GamerChick of ''[[Manga/ShinozakisanKiWoOtaShikaNi Don't Become an Otaku, Shinozaki-san!]]''.
* Masumi Sera of ''Manga/DetectiveConan'' has cute little fangs that show up occasionally when she's smiling, and Conan has even pointed them out as a defining feature of her looks. [[spoiler:These also help him to remember that he met Sera and her family in the past.]]
* Saya Endo of ''Manga/DagashiKashi'' has them.
* Garlic Jr. in ''Anime/DragonBallZ''. He may be a villain but it's still cute looking, the way one fang sticks out of his mouth when he smiles.
* [[CatGirl Aisha Clan-Clan]], and presumably other [[ProudWarriorRace Ctarl-Ctarl]], from ''Anime/OutlawStar'' has these pretty much every time she opens her mouth or smiles normally. When she smiles before changing into her tiger form for a fight, they become part of [[SlasherSmile something else.]]
* ''Manga/FairyTail'':
** Wendy Marvell, the Sky Dragon Slayer has these, although they only really show up when she's getting serious in a fight.
** Due to Dragon Slayer magic, Natsu and Gajeel have fangs, though not really cute. Laxus' and Cobra's fangs are even less cute.
* Haruko Haruhara in ''{{Anime/FLCL}}'' has these in the baseball episode (possibly others).
* Rin Matsuoka from ''Anime/{{Free}}'' had a small pair of fangs when he was a child. Now, he has inexplicably grown [[ScaryTeeth a complete set of shark-like teeth]]. They regain their cute status after he [[TookALevelInKindness takes a level in kindness]] in season two.
* Tasuki from ''Manga/FushigiYuugi''. You can see his fangs just about every time he opens his mouth.
* Madarame from ''{{Manga/Genshiken}}'' and his [[SpiritualSuccessor successor]][[note]]future self[[/note]] in ''Manga/SpottedFlower'', though "cute" might not be the word. The fangs emphasize his snake-like qualities.
* ''{{Manga/Hanayamata}}'': Hana, a cute, innocent, [[GenkiGirl enthusiastic]] girl, often has a pair of upper fangs on display. Being small for her age makes her stand out from the central female cast, as well.
* ''LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya''
** Tsuruya, whose FanNickname is LOL Fang-tan. In a noteworthy variation, the fang actually gives her a [[FangThpeak speech impediment]][[note]]The fang causes her to mispronounce certain words; it has nothing to do with her sing-song style of speaking[[/note]]. Which just makes her ''that much cuter.''
** At least one illustration in the light novels gives Haruhi one.
* Seras in the ''Hellsing'' [[{{Manga/Hellsing}} manga]] and [[{{Anime/Hellsing}} OVA]], at least whilst she's not going psycho. [[{{MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily}} And when she is]]...
* Romania from ''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'', which has led to fan speculation about him possibly being a [[OurVampiresAreDifferent vampire]] or at least liking to pretend that he's one. Belgium has them in some sketches too, but they're not nearly as noticeable.
* In the ''Manga/HighschoolOfTheDead'' manga, Saya has a fang in just about every image, even when her mouth is closed -- the artist seemed intent on displaying it at all times. In the anime it's visible only when her mouth is wide open.
* Killua Zoldyck, from ''Anime/HunterXHunter'' has them.
* Hikari of ''Manga/InterviewsWithMonsterGirls'' sports them. They're still apropos even if she wasn't a [[FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire Friendly Neighborhood Vampire]] since she's the GenkiGirl type.
* The eponymous character from the manga and anime ''Anime/InuYasha'' sports these, since he's descended from a dog yokai.
* ''Anime/JewelpetTwinkle'': Miria has these, presumably cosplay accessories, to complement her cat theme (having two cat Jewelpets).
* Kaguya ocasionally had a fang in earlier chapters of ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'', though this detail was eventually phased out and instead given to her ShadowArchetype [[spoiler:and cousin]] Maki. Maki's brother Mikado is also shown to have one.
* Loki in ''VisualNovel/KamigamiNoAsobi'' shows this occasionally.
* The LittleBitBeastly {{Kitsune}} Tomoe from ''Manga/KamisamaKiss'' has them.
* ''{{Manga/Karin}}'''s eponymous heroine, who provided the former trope [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Karin-CLF-teensy.jpg image.]] [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] as she is a vampire.
* ''Manga/KenkoZenrakeiSuieibuUmisho'''s Maaya is almost an {{Expy}} of Mayu from ''Manga/AiYoriAoshi'', but she also borrows Tina's fang (and swimming skill).
* Seiji from ''Manga/KidsOnTheSlope'', which matches up with his slightly mischievous personality.
* Kuro from ''Kodomo no Jikan'' sports some fangs to emphasize her [[CreepyChild feral nature]].
* ''Manga/LoveLab'''s Riko Kurahashi is a 24/7 owner of a pair of upper canines.
* Ritsuka in ''{{Manga/Loveless}}'' occasionally has these when he's yelling at someone. Slightly justified in that he's still got his cat ears and tail.
* Kuroi-sensei and Misao from ''Anime/LuckyStar''. Misao, like Tsuruya, also has a bit of a speech impediment.
* ''Franchise/LyricalNanoha'':
** Arf and ''[=StrikerS'=]'' Agito. The former is a [[BeastMan wolf-girl]], while the latter is a demon-girl.
** [[ThoseTwoGuys Rio Wesley]] of ''[=ViVid=]'' also sports one, though she's just an ordinary, [[GenkiGirl energetic]] [[HumanAlien Mid-childan]].
* Ranka Lee from ''Anime/MacrossFrontier'' when she's singing. Understandable, being one-quarter Zentraedi.
* Liru and Pachira from ''Anime/MagicalPokaan'', being a [[CuteMonsterGirl Werewolf and western-style vampire]] respectively.
* Anzai Nobuyuki seems to stick these (or rather a single fang projecting over the bottom lip) on his main characters, especially when they're drawn in a more humorous fashion. It's really noticable on Ginta in ''{{Manga/MAR}}''. There is no logical reason given for why they have them.
* R Nomura of ''Music/MarginalNumber4''. He's the sweet fluff of the group, but he's also a very skilled gamer who apparently gets very intense when he plays. His "dark" side can go even further than that, as seen in episode 3 of the anime, when [[spoiler: he and his twin turn a demonic hidden camera prank around on the director]]. R is [[https://youtu.be/aEwjglUlLLI?t=37s often drawn with one of these]].
* {{Lampshaded}} in the {{Hentai}} manga ''Mozaiku x San Shimai'', where a {{Tsundere}} girl's cute little fang interferes with... well, take a guess. Fortunately, no serious pain results.
* Daisuke "Beast" Inuki from the {{yaoi}} manga ''My Beast'' has very pronounced fangs on his lower jaw. These usually make him look more intimidating, but in a few scenes they look very cute.
* Komachi from ''LightNovel/MyTeenRomanticComedySNAFU'' has an unusually long one.
* Loki from ''Anime/MythicalDetectiveLokiRagnarok''. Especially notable in the manga, where he takes them out at one point and uses them as homing devices.
* ''{{Manga/Naruto}}'':
** Suigetsu is a borderline example. While he has one triangular shark-like tooth that sticks out of his mouth while it's closed, that's what [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily all of his teeth]] look like.
** Naruto himself has them to varying degrees in the first few stages of his Kyuubi transformation. Four-tailed and further [[FangsAreEvil take a different route]].
* ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'': Evangeline A.K. [=McDowell=], given hints about the future plot of the story, may be a rare Western vampire who gets the Cute Little Fangs treatment.
* The eponymous Niea from ''Anime/NieaUnder7'' has them, likely because she is an [[HumanAlien alien]]. Still, other aliens in the show seem to lack them.
* Kirino from ''LightNovel/{{Oreimo}}'' sports these; they become especially evident when playing eroge.
* Sorawo from ''LightNovel/OthersidePicnic'' has a fang, despite not fitting the usual "mischievous cutie" archetype at all.
* Scanty and Kneesocks from ''Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt'', with a tad of FangsAreEvil. It's lower incisors for Scanty and upper incisors for Kneesocks.
* ''Ponko Tsundere na Osananajimi'': Sanae possess one to highlight her GenkiGirl nature.
* Tomomi Shirakawa of the hentai title ''Princess 69'' has this. It's most prevalent when she smiles mischievously and the "camera" is shown close to her face...
* Kyouko in ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' and Kirika in ''Manga/PuellaMagiOrikoMagica''. Both play with this trope, Kyouko having two fangs instead of the normal single one, and Kirika most assuredly [[{{Yandere}} does]] [[AxCrazy not]] [[{{CuteAndPsycho}} fit]] with the normal personality type the fang tends to signify. At all.
* ''[[Anime/QueensBlade Queen's Blade: Hide & Seek]]''. Elina flashes hers on numerous occasions and is even said to be just like a cat.
* Ryôga from ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf''. In fact, one reading of "Ryôga" is "Good Fang". These are apparently genetic, as seen when girl-Ranma convinced him she was his sister by wearing fake teeth with her [[WigDressAccent flimsy disguise]].
* Moka and Kokoa from ''Manga/RosarioToVampire'' sport Cute Little Fangs, being vampires. In Moka's case though, it's only Outer Moka who has proper Cute Little Fangs -- the more mature-looking Inner Moka has longer, more menacing looking fangs.
* Lime from ''Anime/SaberMarionetteJ'' and its sequels sometimes seems to have a Cute Little Fang, but it's hard to be sure -- it's clearly a tooth, but it's far more rounded and blunt than the usual anime fang.
* ''{{Manga/Saki}}'' has Yuuki sporting one these, because she's the resident GenkiGirl, and Kana sporting another one of these, because she has that entire CatGirl schtick going on.
* ''Manga/ScienceFellInLoveSoITriedToProveIt'': Kosuke Inukai is sometimes shown with one, which may be a reference to the "Inu" part of his name and his playful personality.
* ''Manga/SchoolRumble'': Eri's teeth are drawn normally, except for when she's angry or indignant. Both instances are always {{played for laughs}}.
* Both Giroro and Tamama of ''Manga/SgtFrog'' have these, but Tamama's are really only shown when he's angry.
* Elise from ''Anime/SkyGirls'' has these. She also wears short, sharp-looking bunny ears to complete the effect.
* ''{{Anime/Slayers}}'' is fond of these in a couple places.
** Non-humans in human guise generally have them (Xellos, Filia, and Valgaav), but perhaps the only real humorous application of them is Lina herself, where they range from the "cute little fang" variant to [[http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v172/OptimalMegatron/eeeevil.jpg worryingly noticeable]].
** Gourry got them on occasion, in the third season (''TRY'') of the anime.
** Thanks to ArtEvolution, Lina's are seen almost all the time starting with ''Revolution''. [[http://images.wikia.com/kanzaka/images/0/01/Slayers_Revolution_Lina.jpg The cute type for the most part.]]
* Holo from ''LightNovel/SpiceAndWolf'', but hers are permanent and natural since she's a wolf spirit. In human form, anyway. In her natural form it's more a case of MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily -- as anyone who's seen the mouth of an even completely ordinary wolf can tell.
* Ichikawa in ''{{LightNovel/Sukisho}}'' has one of these in almost every scene for no adequately explained reason.
* Miyoshi from ''Manga/Switch2002'' has these [[SproutingEars among other things]].
** You don't get to see them very often, but Ryoko actually has top AND bottom fangs. You can catch the bottom ones on occasion when she screams.
* ''Anime/TenchiMuyo'': Ryoko and Ayeka are the two that display them the most, usually whenever they're bickering. But Kiyone also flashes a pair, or a single fang, when she's either surprised or exasperated by [[DumbBlonde Mihoshi's]] [[SurroundedByIdiots airheadedness.]]
* ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann''
** Kiyal, one of Kittan's three sisters in , has a fang. She's the most feral of the three. And yet in the same episode she debuts in, her own brother goes on a rant about how humans don't have fangs, only Beastmen have fangs. Wha-huh?
** [[PrincessClassic Nia]] of all people has one of these in some official HighSchoolAU art. And it's [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=297728 ADORABLE]]. Look closely, and she also has them in [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=117152 this official Halloween art]].
** In a rare male example, Viral has them when he smiles. When he's not smiling it's MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily.
* Mew Ichigo of ''Manga/TokyoMewMew''. Most of the characters have these -- the aliens do, at least.
* Nori from ''Manga/TokyoTribe 2''.
* Lala's sister, Nana, from ''Manga/ToLoveRu'' usually has one ridiculously cute fang showing which makes her even more ridiculously cute.
* Abel of ''LightNovel/TrinityBlood'' has them sometimes; not too much of a surprise given that he's an (uber powerful) [[FriendlyNeighborhoodVampires vampire]].
* Hazuki, who's a vampire, from ''Anime/TsukuyomiMoonPhase'', has a pair of fangs, which make her look more cute than threatening.
* Jin from ''Manga/YuYuHakusho'', in his demonic form, he has [[http://quizilla.teennick.com/user_images/S/SH/SHU/shuichisgirlfriend/1165021852_8screencap.jpg the cutest little fang]].
** Hiei also has these when he shows his teeth (which isn't very often) even as a baby!
* Francesca from ''Manga/{{Trash}}'' has this, which also adds to her CuteBruiser quality. [[spoiler: Not so cute when you find out that they have a ''[[ManBitesMan practical]]'' use.]]
* Tomo from ''Manga/TomoChanIsAGirl'' has them. That said, she may be cute herself, but she's certainly not little.
** It seems to run in her family, as her mother also has it.
* Kirishima from ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' also has them.
* Tohru from ''Manga/MissKobayashisDragonMaid'' has one. Rather appropriate since her true form is a western style dragon.
** This is somewhat common among female leads in [[Creator/CoolKyouShinsha Cool-kyou Shinsha's]] manga. Haru (''Manga/{{Ojojojo}}''), Kaoru (''Manga/ICantUnderstandWhatMyHusbandIsSaying'') Rino (''Manga/MyGirlFriendWithoutWasabi''), and Kyou (''Manga/{{Fullmapla}}'') all display this at times (though unlike Tohru, they are all humans).
* Mordred in the anime version of ''LightNovel/FateApocrypha'' has these, to visual cue us their JerkWithAHeartOfGold status. Although it does show her other teeth, but not the other incisor.
** Another prominent example would be [[{{Keet}} the Rider of Black Astolfo]], who always shows his right fang, even as an outline of his mouth.
* Aoi Inuyama from ''Manga/LaidBackCamp'' has one, fitting with her surname ("dog mountain"). Due to the manga's art style it looks less like a tooth and more like a flap of skin hanging off her upper lip. Her little sister also has one, suggesting that it runs in the family.
* For a seiyuu example, we have Asami Tano (who plays Sarah Kazuno in ''Anime/LoveLiveSunshine''; in an odd twist, the character she portrays does '''not''' have the cute fang).
* Hana Uzaki, the titular protagonist of ''Manga/UzakiChanWantsToHangOut'' has one visible in almost every frame, reflecting her mischievous and energetic nature. However, due to the way it's drawn, sometimes passes off as being part of her lip.
