* Myth/ClassicalMythology: A lot of people and monsters were turned into constellations, the most famous being Orion.

* ''VideoGame/LoversInADangerousSpacetime'': The bosses at the end of each world are constellations that come to life.
* ''Videogame/{{Starbound}}'' plays with this in regards to the Novakid race. Rather than being full of stars like most examples, they're made of ''star'', singular, as in hot, swirling masses of gas and plasma (held together by a magnetic metal brand). To further the theme, old Novakid tend to grow bigger and fatter as their forces grow weaker, and adopt a reddish hue, like a red giant ([[FantasticSlur don't call them that, though]]), and literally go supernova when they die (smaller scale, of course), to the point Novakid funerals have to be done on mountaintops, with friends and family staying below.

** The Genesis Frogs bred by players of each Sburb session take it further, in that [[spoiler:each is literally an entire universe.]] Similarly, [[spoiler:Snowman appears to have such a link to the Alternia universe; killing her caused the universe's destruction.]]

The degree to which this trope manifests can vary. Some cases will simply have twinkling stars or nebulas overlaying otherwise normal body parts, while more extreme cases will seem to somehow be made of, or to be living windows into, the cosmos. Stars are the most common celestial object to feature and the likeliest to appear by itself and in the more sedate cases. More spectacular examples may also display nebulas, comets, planets, galaxies, and other dramatic celestial objects and phenomena. The background color will generally be black or deep blue, but more unusual shades such as purple may also manifest.

* In ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'', [[spoiler:Anthy]] is seen lying under Akio's body when he's drawn this way, which besides tying into a repeating motif in the series related to stars references his name, which literally means "morning star" and hints at [[{{Satan}} his other role in the story]].

** The gods of the plane of Theros and their servants also have these (which serves a dual purpose, triune if you add "looking really cool", in that it serves as visual shorthand for "enchantment creature"). The mortal locals refer to this as being "infused with Nyx", Nyx being the [[TheSacredDarkness land of the night sky]] and the home of the gods which mortals visit through dreams.

* In ''VideoGame/DragonFable'', we have Isiri, whose torso is seemingly made of stars. This is probably to underline her connection with the Empress.

* In ''VideoGame/HeroesOfMightAndMagic VI Shades of Darkness'', the upgrade of the Shadow Dragon, the Black Dragon, according to their in-game description, have on their wings "intricate patterns of light constantly dissolving, like galaxies being swallowed by the eternal darkness of space."
* ''VisualNovel/MarcoAndTheGalaxyDragon'': Arco’s true form is a black dragon with stars and nebulae contained in both its wings and the miasma surrounding its body, and her SleepModeSize form’s mouth is shown to contain a field of stars at one point. There’s also the Lizard Stone, which has a miniature galaxy swirling within its depths.

* In ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'', Omnitraxus Prime, the master of space-time, appropriately has a body made of space, with a visible galaxy and a few planets within.

** The Ursa Major and the Ursa Minor (pictured above) are colossal, translucent bears with stars covering and/or inside their bodies. Notably, while the Ursa Minor is a fairly typical deep blue, the Ursa Major is purple instead.

* ''WesternAnimation/ShadowRaiders'': The Beast Planet's, due to being constructs of null matter, all have translucent red bodies that seem to be filled with stars and nebulae.

When something or someone is ''literally'' made of stars. Perhaps it's part of their nature, perhaps they've acquired it somehow, but they invariably have cosmological bodies within themselves. They range from having a "mere" planet to ''[[UpToEleven all of existence]]'' within themselves.

The owner of the Celestial Body itself can come in many forms, from a [[GodInHumanForm seemingly average looking guy]], to a [[Film/MenInBlack marble]], to an [[YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm impossible thing]] [[CosmicEntity that considers us to be insignificant insects at best]]. No matter the form, they always invoke BiggerOnTheInside.

They tend to be {{Reality Warper}}s/{{Reality Warp|er}}ing objects of [[{{Pun}} cosmic]] scale, and may also have a StellarName.

* ''Literature/{{Malloreon}}'': Zandramas, the BigBad, has stars beneath her skin, in increasing number. After her side is defeated, she is transformed to replace a missing galaxy.

* ''TabletopGame/{{Pathfinder}}'': Mix couatls' scales and feathers range from deep blues and violets to blacks deeper than the night, interspersed with white spots like stars and red stripes like the rays of the setting sun.

Most of them chose to come down to earth, but still claim to their homes in the firmament. On Earth they take various forms, some humanoid, some not, but most of them have a blazing white look to them, and when cut, they bleed powerful liquid magic.

* ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy2'' features the Cosmic Guide, a creature who resembles Rosalina (the woman who helped Mario/Luigi on his quest to save both Peach and the entire galaxy from [[BigBad Bowser]] in the first ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy'' game), but her body is made of stars. She helps the player complete a certain level only after it is failed too many times. Unfortunately, the Guide thinks that that's cheating, and as a result once she completes the level for you she will immediately give you [[EasyModeMockery a bronze Power Star]] because of your ineptitude.
** The first ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy'' game also featured creatures that either resembled Mario or Luigi, but his body also appeared to be made of stars.
* Utsuho the Hell-Raven from ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}'' has a cape that has the starry depths within them. It represents her control of nuclear fusion, the power of the stars.
* The King of All Cosmos from ''VideoGame/KatamariDamacy''.

* The BigBad of ''VideoGame/LegoDimensions'', Lord Vortech, appears to be a Lego Minifigure made out of an entire galaxy. This also applies to his mooks, who are versions of him without any of his clothing or his face.

* ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' has anyone with [[GameBreaker First Guardian]] [[RealityWarper powers]], who seem to have their entire bodies be full of stars when they use them.

* The three generals of the Beast Planet in ''WesternAnimation/WarPlanets'' appear to be made out of this (it's actually antimatter).
* In ''Disney/{{Fantasia}}'', Nyx (at the end of the Pastoral Symphony sequence) might qualify, as it's not clear whether the night is her body or her mantle.
* Alien X from ''WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce'' has a black body resembling space with tiny white stars scattered throughout. In ''WesternAnimation/Ben10UltimateAlien'', we learn that it belongs to a race known as Celestialsapiens. It is by far the strongest of Ben's Omnitrix aliens, with full-on RealityWarper powers, but unless two-thirds of the personalities residing within Alien X (Ben himself, the [[HairTriggerTemper aggressive and rage-filled]] Bellicus, and the [[LoveFreak loving and passionate]] Serena) can come to an agreement on what to do, Alien X remains completely still as it needs an order to do so much as ''walk''. Ben is forced to be [[PowerTrio the Ego]] and negotiate between the two, to ill-effect (the fact that ''[[IdiotHero Ben]]'' is being forced to take the role of the voice of reason doesn't help). Since it was TheLoad, and Ben almost couldn't convince Serena or Bellicus to [[AndIMustScream allow him to ever change back]], Ben vowed to never use Alien X again after his first transformation, although he eventually reuses it in ''Ultimate Alien''. The results there were somewhat better, although it still ended up backfiring and the problem was solved in another way.
** In fact, all Celestialsapiens have two personalities, with Ben as a tiebreaker making Alien X one of the most active Celestial sapiens ever. The entire time the team was in the Forge of Creation, none of the Celestialsapiens there took any notice of them, all still frozen in place while deliberating. (WordOfGod spelled it out: yes, they were ''all'' very much aware of what was going on. They were all still deciding what to do, the entire time - including the giant-sized one whose ''hand'' was the battlefield and whose ''baby'' was the villain's quarry.) The BigBad's goal was to [[PoweredByAForsakenChild absorb an infant Celestialsapien]], since having yet to develop its own personality (or rather, personalities) it wouldn't saddle him with the need to bargain with anybody to use the vast cosmic power.
** In ''WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse,'' Ben is once more forced to use Alien X, and finally gets Serena and Bellicus to cooperate in order to [[spoiler: un-destroy the entire universe after it is erased]].
** It turns out that there is ''one'' thing that Serena and Bellicus agree on: at some point in the past [[NoodleIncident Professor Paradox did something]] and [[ThisIsUnforgivable they]] ''[[ThisIsUnforgivable hate]]'' [[ThisIsUnforgivable him for it]].
** The above example actually returns when Ben and Alien X must defend this decision in a council of Celestialsapiens in the episode "Tennyson vs. the Universe". We also some notable ones, such as Starbeard and the Galactic Gladiator, whom have more decisive and balanced personalities (with Alien X's personalities saying the Gladiator is the most decisive Celestialsapien they've seen.)

* Nocturne, the ghost of sleep in ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom'', has his entire body except his eyes and face-mask as stars in space.
