A kid that refused to do an IQ test is obviously not proven to be dumber than the stupid one that did the test. From the article, this is whats called Confirmation Bias, which the person first had confirmed his/her own point of view before looking into the facts, then look for facts that only favours his/her own view. ESPECIALLY when the so called EQ did not even take into account of the folds of the brain, which was analysed for a really long time to be also a very important factor, and small birds have an even larger ratio than human AND by research, [[http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/kinser/Int3.html cats got a better ration than dogs]] is a VERY GOOD indication of his own DidNotDoTheResearch. BY HIS OWN standard, dogs are dumber than cats, good job handing him his PhD, whoever is responsible should RE-teach him how to do his research.

Cats are almost always portrayed as particularly intelligent, cunning, and independent, and in works with [[SlidingScaleOfAnthropomorphism any degree of anthropomorphization]] a cat is likely to be TheChessmaster, a DeadpanSnarker, or one of the other {{Trickster}} archetypes. Sometimes they are all but stated to be a SuperiorSpecies.

* In the children's series ''Dr Snuggles'' a recurring character is The Cosmos Cat, a perhaps SufficientlyAdvancedAlien that is a RubberForeheadAlien - its just that it is a cat that has the rubber forehead (antennas and such), not a human. This trope is approached from another direction through the traditional association between cats and magic. Whether MagicIsEvil or benign, it is yet another way for cats to show intelligence and wield power.
