* Part of the strategy of the Pearl Harbor attack against America was to intimidate the USA from fighting Japan as it swept through the Dutch East Indies. Despite the significant blow to its Pacific Fleet, America abandoned its previous isolationist stance and fully committed to entering World War II.

*** This is not correct. Yamamoto was the commander of the combined fleet and Nagumo was the commander of the carrier task force; Nagumo was the person making decisions once the attack began. The strategy was conceived by Yamamoto but the detailed plans were developed by Genda. The decision to cut their losses and end the attack was a calculated risk made by Nagumo - it had the effect of leaving valuable American resources undamaged, but Nagumo rightly knew the IJN couldn't afford the risk having its carriers engaged. Yamamoto supported Nagumo's decision initially, but in hindsight realized the destruction of the port facilities in additional waves would've done so much damage to American control of the Pacific that it would have been worth the risk.

Sai has an emotionally charged reaction upon finding out his fiance was cheating on him with Kira. It's poor judgement, but he's less picking on a guy who can whup him and more pissed off at the guy who stole his girlfriend.

* This happens in GundamSEED when Kira's friend Sai tried to attack Kira after his girlfriend left him for Kira. Kira puts Sai into a one-handed hold and [[LampshadeHanging tells him]] just how boned he would be if Kira decided to ''really'' fight.

I'll point out the Turian was also a Biotic, so he wasn't massively outclassed in the way Bullying A Dragon implies.

** Another example is in the game itself. In which the [[TooDumbToLive Turian teaching various biotics to use their powers]] repeatedly states that humans should have been wiped out and attempts to break one student's arm for not using her powers to pick up an object. The result: having his neck broken by an extremely pissed [[BewareTheNiceOnes Kaidan Alenko]] after the Turian draws a weapon.

No one's mentioned it yet because it has been removed several times on the basis that most people who abuse them are not aware that they can tear them apart limb from limb, which is a different trope.

* How come no one's mentioned {{Elfen Lied}}? Someone should have realised that mentally, emotionally and physically abusing little girls with the potential to become Mass Murderers was a Bad Idea. Why they bother with effort of abusing them so, rather than just raising them as best they can in an isolated environment... Yeah. {{Darwin Award}}s for all of them.

** Admiral Yamamoto was not the man who came up with the strategy; worse, he did not understand why the man who did, Neggumo, was so insistent that Yamamato not attack unless the U.S. aircraft carriers were also in harbor. Negumo had slaughterd two British Battleships with his carriers earlier in the Pacific War and was hoping the U.S. would be crippled. Also note that Negumo's plan called for three air strikes. Yamamato only did two, he felt a third would not be necessary. The third wave was meant to destroy the massive fuel depots and to mess up the docks to prevent the ships from being repaired.

* If you choose the "Earthborn" origin in ''MassEffect'' (You were [[CaptainObvious born on Earth]], orphaned, and grew up on the streets), you eventually run into a former member of a gang you used to be a member of. Commander Shephard is both the commanding officer of a Black Ops Human Alliance Ship, and a Specter, ''essentially given carte blanche by the Galactic Council to do whatever they want''. Your "friend" tries to blackmail you, because apparently he thinks revealing that you were a former gang member would ruin you; even though the Alliance and Council are willing to look the other way if ''mow down mind controlled civilians or exterminate an entire race''. You can choose to point out that you're legally authorized to execute him where he stands... or you can just shoot him.

* Bullying a dragon ''whom you outnumber'' is actually a common strategy used by flocks of birds to drive predators away from their nesting sites. The reason it works better for them than for humans is that wild animals don't get their egos involved: no predator's going to risk getting injured -- even superficially -- without a damn good reason, and the racket raised by a mob of enraged birds means that any potential meals within hearing distance will be long gone.
