A staple of {{Fighting Game}}s. When you want a {{Badass}} for your series, who better to use than [[BruceLee the Dragon]] himself? Members of this trope love [[CompletelyMissingThePoint flashy]], [[MartialArtsDoNotWorkThatWay unrealistic moves]], and may sometimes have a penchant for [[{{Kiai}} high-pitched screams]] while fighting. One-inch punches, bowl-cuts, [[GameOfDeath yellow jumpsuits]] and nunchaku galore.

Lesser seen but a still common sub-trope is the Jackie Chan clone; a mop-haired, laid-back fighter who tends to incorporate either drunken boxing or the environment in his fighting style. These are almost always based on Chan's performance in the film ''Drunken Master''.

AKA "Brucesploitation".
In film, the use of Bruce Lee lookalikes was common after the man's untimely death when, naturally, [[AuthorExistenceFailure the real thing was no longer available]], and films with Bruce Lee lookalikes are often bundled under the subgenre of "Brucesploitation".

** Fei Long's status as a BruceLeeClone is lampshaded in his ''Super Street Fighter II'' ending, where he acknowledges that he'll never be able to match up to "The Great One" if he simply imitates him, and leaves film to find his own path. Then again, by the time ''Street Fighter IV'' rolls around, he's making movies again.
*** But that's in the English ending of SSFII. The original Japanese ending says nothing of the sort, as the director runs to Fei Long and begs him to return to the movies, but Fei Long tells him that he'll seek his own path and train to become stronger. The English translation is Capcom making things up just to make sure the American audience would know how did they come up with Fei Long, as if his physical resemblance wasn't obvious enough.

** [[CompletelyMissingThePoint You've got the new Resident Evil controversy?]]

to:

** [[CompletelyMissingThePoint You've got [[DidNotDoTheResearch The mask was always part of the new Resident Evil controversy?]]Kato character dating back to the radio series. It was worn by Keye Luke who played the character in the movie serials from the 1940's]]. So it certainly had nothing to do with obscuring Lee's Asian heritage in the "racist" 1960's. And the Kato character is not the "fake spirit" of Bruce Lee. Nobody in Asia thinks that way. TheGreenHornet was extremely popular in Lee's second home of Hong Kong where it is know as the ''The Kato Show''. The Kato character, and its look, is still closely identified with Bruce Lee and used in homage to him in many Hong Kong and Asian martial arts films. So either Tarantino is an idiot, and has no clue about Bruce Lee, or you are CompletelyMissingThePoint. Lee also had another major Western work. A little film people might of heard about called EnterTheDragon.

* Alexander Fu Sheng was probably more a successor to Bruce Lee than Jackie Chan. Fu Sheng possessed Lee's leading man good looks, charisma, and was Hong Kong's biggest star after Lee's death and before the rise of Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. Unfortunately, his life seemed to mirror Lee's. Like Lee, he died young and in the prime of his career. He was killed in an car accident at age 28. Ironically, after Bruce's death, Fu Sheng had moved into his old house in Hong Kong which some say was cursed.
