"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Music/{{Queen}} is quite an EarWorm. Pretty much everyone can recognize the distinctive and complex melody, most people know the lyrics (at least approximately), it's a melding of numerous musical genres from rock to opera, and it also has a rather famous and recognisable music video. As a result, thanks to it's distinctive nature and SmallReferencePools, it's become quite a common subject for {{Parody}}.

A bit of tinkering.

[[Music/{{Queen}} Bohemian Rhapsody]] is quite an EarWorm. Pretty much everyone can recognize the melody, and most people know the lyrics, at least approximately. Thanks to SmallReferencePools, it's [[{{Parody}} parodied]] rather often, most commonly by various fandoms. More specifically, the part being parodied is at 3:02, from "I see a little silhouetto of a man" to "Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me, for me!". The lyrics are changed, the melody left fully intact, the whole thing is pretty much always named [adjective directly related to the theme] Rhapsody.

Another common type is to make a cover and change the melody drastically or to use voices that just don't fit.

A visual stock parody is having four people pose as four heads above each other in the darkness, just like Queen does at the start of their "Bohemian Rhapsody" music video.

[[Music/{{Queen}} "[[Music/{{Queen}} Bohemian Rhapsody]] Rhapsody]]" is quite an EarWorm. Pretty much everyone can recognize the distinctive and complex melody, and most people know the lyrics, at lyrics (at least approximately. Thanks approximately), it's a melding of numerous musical genres from rock to opera, and it also has a rather famous and recognisable music video. As a result, thanks to it's distinctive nature and SmallReferencePools, it's [[{{Parody}} parodied]] rather often, most commonly by various fandoms. More specifically, become quite a common subject for {{Parody}}.

There are several common approaches. The first is to keep
the melody more or less intact but change the lyrics to suit a new, comic purpose. The second is to keep the song more or less the same, but have it sung by unlikely or inappropriate stand-ins for Queen (such as [[Franchise/StarTrek the crew of the U.S.S Enterprise]]) or in much sillier or inappropriate voices, and a third is to keep the lyrics the same but change the melody from a dramatic fusion of rock and opera that something a bit less... bombastic. Then, once you're done, all you need to do is replace the 'Bohemian' part being parodied is at 3:02, from "I of the title with something more appropriate to your current purposes so that the title becomes "[X] Rhapsody", and bingo! [[HilarityEnsues Instant hilarity!]]

Since any of these options allow for endless fun to be had with the song, it's a popular target for fandom parodies. Of the different sections of the song to parody, popular ones include the 'ballad' section ("Mama, just killed a man...") and especially the 'opera' section ("I
see a little silhouetto of a man" to "Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me, for me!". The lyrics are changed, me!").

While
the melody left fully intact, song is subject to numerous parodies, the whole thing is pretty much always named [adjective directly related to music video for the theme] Rhapsody.

Another common type
song is to make a cover itself quite well-recognised and change the melody drastically or thus also subject to use voices that just don't fit.

A
frequent parodies and visual homage. The stock visual parody in this case is having the instantly recognisable image of four people pose as four with their heads above each other arranged in a 'diamond' formation against a dark background or in pitch blackness, with the lighting arranged to suggest that their heads are disembodied, in a similar fashion to how the members of the band are positioned at several points in the darkness, just like Queen does at video (including the start of their "Bohemian Rhapsody" music video.
aforementioned 'opera' section).
