* In John Scalzi's {{Old Mans War}} novels, enhanced human soldiers have their natural blood replaced with SmartBlood, composed of {{nanobots}}. While not explicitly intended as a weapon, in {{The Ghost Brigades}}, Jared Dirac discovers that it is possible to remotely instruct the nanobots to explosively combust once outside the body. He uses this technique to momentarily stun an attacking alien after his tongue is cut during combat.

* KAEDE Smith in "Killer 7" has the special move "Blood Shower" during which she cuts her own wrists spraying blood everywere and unveiling any hidden passages.

* In ''AvatarTheLastAirbender'' some Waterbenders can bend their enemies' blood. Somewhat subverted in that they aren't using their own blood as a weapon.
** It ''could'' fall under the whole "boiling their blood", category (but more likely freezing, as waterbenders haven't been shown to be able to increase the temperature of water past its normal liquid state). They just didn't show it, because, you know, kids.
*** Katara has been shown turning ''all the water around a battleship'' into steam. If she could instantly vaporize that much water, it wouldn't be surprising if it's possible to do with a human body.

*** The trope in general would apply to the manga, too. One of the earlier chapters of the Shippuden portion of the manga explains that Naruto's appearance from four tails and beyond is a result of his blood mixing with the cloak of chakra surrounding his body due to his skin being constantly burned and healed by the Kyuubi's chakra. At least, until [[spoiler: He gains control of said Kyuubi's chakra.]] Up until then, though, mere contact with Naruto was enough to injure some characters. And apparently the Kyuubi's chakra is poisonous, or rather, has an effect similar to poison.

** The lead is the one with the bullets, which is annoying since the thing about bullets is they don't 're-use' very well, and Crow with his scythe can just keep slicing while [[TheWoobie Ganta]] has [[WallBanger less and less blood in his body]] to work with...

* Myrdraal blood in ''TheWheelOfTime'' series will cause a weapon to rust faster or seep into the weapon and make it more malleable or corrode the metal or something like that.

* In ''WorldOfWarcraft'' death knights can gain the talent "Bloodworms", which means that there's a chance on hitting an opponent to create several worm-like creatures that attack the enemy. While most talents are rather vague on how they actually operate, this does give the impression that you bring your enemies' own blood to life and hit them with it.

* '''[[color:maroon:Blood Weapons -]]''' The blood can "crystallize" or [[ShapeshifterWeapon solidify into a weapon]]. Usually this is helped by most fictional characters having excessive amounts of blood in their bodies.
