This in spite of his pathological disgust for humans like Nami and their supposed [[MightMakesRight "weakness"]].

* ''Film/OperationFinale'': Played realistically. Klaus Eichmann becomes attracted to Sylvia Hermann, a German Jew whose father immigrated to Argentina after living through the Holocaust but [[RaisedCatholic raised her Catholic]]. Klaus even takes her to a meeting of ex-Nazi fugitives. Sylvia is horrified by the rampant anti-Semitism and abruptly leaves, is only convinced to visit Klaus one more time by her father to gather intelligence on Klaus's father Adolf Eichmann, and Klaus immediately rejects her when she admits that she's a Jew.

* Throughout the whole story of ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDame'', [[BigBad Claude Frollo]] expresses nothing but distaste for the Romani population of Paris, hunting them down for the flimsiest of reasons and eventually planning to kill them all. But this doesn't stop him from lusting after [[HotGypsyWoman Esmeralda]]. He's honestly conflicted by his feelings, but eventually decides to just [[IfICantHaveYou burn her at the stake if she won't be with him]].

* As with his comic counterpart, ComicBook/GorillaGrodd from ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'' hates humans. Despite this, all of his love interests were human, and he even turned one of them, Giganta, from an ape to a human. This fits with his general CantLiveWithThemCantLiveWithoutThem relationship with non-apes.

* ''Manga/BokuraNoHentai'' features a minor character from Marika's school who is like this. Previously, he was one of Marika's biggest bullies, but after she transitions and starts presenting feminine the bully makes his distaste of her new appearance known. It's still heavily implied that he finds her attractive, as he showed signs of this when Marika was still in the closet and simply looked like a very pretty "boy".

* ''ComicBook/{{Blacksad}}'': Inverted in Hans Karup's backstory. In the present, he runs a white supremacist organization responsible for lynching black animals, but [[UsedToBeASweetKid he was once an incredibly sweet man]] married to a black-furred woman. * ''WebComic/TheOrderOfTheStick'': In [[https://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1208.html a debate with]] Durkon, Redcloak states that he would be killed on sight if entered any town or city because he's green and has fangs. He supplements this by adding that orcs would get the same treatment if humans weren't always having babies with them.

* In ''Series/ToCafeTisHaras'', a greek sitcom which takes place in the fictional village of Kolokotronitsi, Periander Popotas, mayor of said village, who is extremely misogynistic, sexist, bigoted and against modern ideas, falls in love with Hara, a single mother from UsefulNotes/{{Athens}} who stands for whatever Periander is against of. Hara herself also starts to develop feelings for him.

Maybe not. Despite all odds, whether it's the target's attitude, spirit, or just appearance, a character with this trope can't help but become fixated on them, often with disastrous results. Often leads to cognitive dissonance or {{Doublethink}} for the bigot trying to reconcile their beliefs with their romantic or sexual interest, or otherwise attempt to rationalize it by deeming the person an "obvious" [[BigotryException exception to the group that they despise]]. On the other hand, it could also lead to LoveRedeems with the character [[FormerBigot abandoning their old prejudices]], with some possible UnfortunateImplications. If the entire society is in on the discrimination, it may result in a ForbiddenLove relationship. In RealLife and more realistic works however, there is usually no redemption for the bigot. Indeed, many people are interested in a certain group precisely ''because'' they consider those people inferior and/or {{Squick}}y: which usually leads to a DestructiveRomance, if it is pursued.

** Played for {{Squick}} in regards to Assef's character. He professes a strong hatred for Hazara people, but he [[spoiler: rapes Hassan and harasses him afterward. When Hassan is killed, Assef takes in his prepubescent son Sohrab in as his "companion."]]

* Juliana Everheart in ''VideoGame/ValkyriaChroniclesII'' is openly racist against Darcsens (the settings FantasyCounterpartCulture of WWII-era Jews), but has an obvious {{Tsundere}} crush on Zeri. This one ends up being of the LoveRedeems variety, where she slowly grows out of her prejudice. [[spoiler: Unfortunately, [[RedeptionEqualsDeath she's killed right as she does]], and in her final words she manages to call him by his name for the first time.]]

* Famed novelist Creator/HPLovecraft was infamous for his racism, anti-semitism and anti-immigration opinions. He married Sonia Greene, a (culturally) Jewish immigrant, who would routinely call him out for his bigotry and hypocrisy. When she pointed out that he willfully married a Jewish immigrant, he responded by saying that she was "[[BigotryException one of the good ones]]."
* In the early 2000s, DNA testing was done on tissue samples which were known to have come from Eva Braun (Mrs UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler).[[note]]A set of hairbrushes found in her private quarters at Berchtesgarten were looted by an American serviceman; the silver-backed hairbrushes were monogrammed with the initials EB and there was still blonde-brown hair in them. Research into her family history suggests that she had just enough Jewish ancestors -- who in an earlier age "assimilated" perhaps a century or so before this became an issue in 1933 -- and who, to all intents and purposes, had become so thoroughly Germanised that their origins were forgotten. However, the Nazi Party had decreed that to class as completely German, any Party or SS member should be able to prove pure German ancestry for at least ten generations. Eva Braun, had this been known, would have classed at the very least as a ''mischlinger'' -- tainted by enough Jewish blood for a range of sanctions to apply -- or else as a full-blown Jewess...
* Strom Thurmond was a segregationist US senator who gave a record-breaking filibuster against civil rights legislation, and fathered a daughter with a black woman.
* Joseph Goebbels, staunch Nazi, had an affair with Czech actress Lida Barova, even though Slavic persons were thought by the Nazis to be ''untermenschen''. Hitler himself had to put a stop to it when Goebbels' wife Magda complained to him and forbade them from seeing each other.
* Creator/NichelleNichols recounts that, when in response to the ''Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries'' episode [[Recap/StarTrekS3E10PlatosStepchildren "Plato's Stepchildren"]], which famously featured Kirk and Uhura kissing, and is considered the first kiss on the mouth between a black person and a white person on an American seasonal television show,[[note]]There were previous examples of kisses between a white person and a non-black person of color, such as Hispanic or East Asian (including an earlier episode of ''Star Trek'', "Mirror, Mirror", which had a kiss between Barbara Luna, who was Eurasian, and William Shatner), and in regards of it being the first black-white interracial kiss overall, it seems to have been beaten by a kiss shared between Creator/SammyDavisJr and Nancy Sinatra in 1967, but it was on a TV special, ''Movin' With Nancy'', where Davis plants a kiss on her cheek after the two share a song.[[/note]] the network received tons of letters about it, with a distinct majority praising the scene. She read one of the letters, which was written by a white Southern man, who was self-admittedly "totally against the mixing of the races," who said however that "any time a red-blooded American boy like Captain Kirk gets a beautiful dame in his arms that looks like Uhura, he ain't gonna fight it."
* Political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has stated that homosexuality is an abomination in front of God and is affiliated with white suprematist groups. However, he's ''openly gay'' and he's married to a ''black man''.

* [[RoboticPsychopath Bender]] from ''{{WesternAnimation/Futurama}}'' is a [[RidiculouslyHumanRobots robot]] who openly hates humans, to the point that his famous {{catchphrase}} is "KillAllHumans!". However he's also a [[TheCasanova big pervert and womanizer]], and while he usually dates female robots, he has also been seen [[InterspeciesRomance chasing after human women]] as well; there was even one episode ("Proposition Infinity") where he briefly became [[ReallyGetsAround Amy Wong]]'s boyfriend, and they both got arrested for it (as {{robosexual}} relationships were illegal at the time).
