* [[{{Beowulf}} Grendel]] is sometimes portrayed as Cain in later adaptations. What we have of the original was rewritten to include Christian elements, so this isn't particularly surprising (though the wording it uses would imply a ''descendant'' of Cain.)

* In ''[[AssassinsCreed Assassin's Creed II]]'' it's revealed in the optional glyphs that Cain killed Able [[spoiler: over a Piece of Eden and was the founder of the [[TheKnightsTemplar Templar Order]].]]

The bad guys from TheBible are [[{{Understatement}} well known]] and as such don't require introduction, and [[VillainByDefault everyone knows they are evil]]. The really handy thing is that many of them are regularly theorized to be [[BlessedWithSuck cursed]] with [[WhoWantsToLiveForever immortality]] as part of their punishment for being bad guys, providing a decent reason for them to show up in any time period.

* In ''VampireTheMasquerade'', the first vampire is named "Caine" and is the Cain from the Bible. In ''DemonTheFallen'' (in the [[WorldOfDarkness same universe]]), it's noted that Caine invented murder and the killing of sentients.

* TheProtagonist ''RurouniKenshin'' (while not ''named'' Cain) may be a ShoutOut to him; an individual who is WalkingTheEarth with a mark on him after committing murder.

** As revealed in Tiberian Twilight, when he came to Earth he found us in "mud huts. [We] were [[VillainousBreakdown living in caves]]"

** Cain is also theoretically present in the DC verse due to his presence in ''{{Sandman}}'', where he and Abel became part of Dream's realm (the Land of Nod). The nature of the Dreaming probably means this is feasibly compatible with the above fact about [[spoiler: Vandal Savage]]. This Cain is mostly an AvertedTrope, despite his tendency to lose his temper and [[CainAndAbel kill Abel]] repeatedly.

!!Lucifer -- The Fallen Angel
* The most famous story featuring [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Satan Lucifer]] would have to be [[ParadiseLost Paradise Lost]] by John Milton, which describes Lucifer's fall from Heaven.
* He makes numerous appearances within the [[ShinMegamiTensei Shin Megami Tensei]] series under the pseudonym [[LouisCypher Louis Cypher]]. He is a separate character from Satan.
* Like Cain, the old ''WorldOfDarkness'' also included Lucifer. In ''DemonTheFallen'', he led one third of the Heavenly Host to rebel against {{God}}, believing this to be the only way to prevent a vague impending cataclysm, which his friend Ahrimal has foreseen and which God refused to do anything about. [[SelfFulfillingProphecy It turned out, said cataclysm WAS Lucifer's rebellion in the first place.]] Interestingly, Lucifer is not the BigBad in the game: in fact, he is probably the staunchest [[RousseauWasRight believer in humanity]] the World of Darkness has ever seen. His former lieutenants, however, now sit comfortably on the edge between EldritchAbomination and CompleteMonster...

* [[spoiler:Naoya]] in ''DevilSurvivor'' [[spoiler:Cain has memory of every life time he has lived, including the first. Over his long life he has become obsessed with revenge and seeks to achieve that by having Abel, the player character]], rebel against God. Granted, this is ''MegaTen'', so [[GodIsEvil YHWH]] [[GreyAndGreyMorality kinda deserves it]].

** Maybe. A group called the Followers of Cain did some sort of magic ritual with the Spear of Destiny, causing Cain to be reborn in Savage. Whether he actually was Cain, or just being possessed or something, is up in the air.

** According to the in-universe Vampire scripture ''The Book of Nod'', Caine spent a good amount of time with Adam's first wife Lilith. It's not quite clear what she is, but she definitely had some sort of supernatural power and probably wasn't a Vampire herself, at least not in the same way that Caine was.
