They 'are'' pretty efficient as a team-up (and the same goes to their Nidoqeen and Nidoking), but they also are huge [[ShipperOnDeck Shippers On Deck]] who claim to be able to spot couples in love a mile away and thus try to hitch Ash with May and Jessie with James.

* The Cool Couple double battle trainers in the Generation III ''[=~Pok?n~=]'' games, and the Double Team trainers, the Generation IV version of the Cool Couple (a pair of Cooltrainers or Ace Trainers, respectively).

* BioWare...Dear God, BioWare. This Trope is one of their ''favorites.'' [[GayOption And the gender]] [[BiTheWay combination of]] the PlayerCharacter and [[PurelyAestheticGender his or her]] bedmate.

* ''[[BaldursGate Baldur's Gate]]'' series has a few. There's Khalid and Jaheira, and to a lesser extent, Eldoth and Skie, in the first game. In the second game, the player him-/herself could have one, with one of the several options, while Haer'Dalis and Aerie, and maybe Korgan and Mazzy, have potential for this as well (but in an unmodded game go nowhere).
* Any romance option in ''DragonAge''. Becoming a couple will even help the characters level up.

* The possibilities for this in the ''{{Knights of the Old Republic}}'' games are endless... In the first game, [[spoiler: Revan]] and Bastila (especially awesome if [[spoiler: you decide to join Bastila on the Dark Side]]) if you play male. Carth or [[GayOption even Juhani]] if you play female. You get a choice in the second- The Exile and Atton or the Disciple if the Exile's female, and Visas or the Handmaiden if he's Male.
* Any of the five possible player/party member pairings in JadeEmpire qualify, due to the EverybodyWasKungFuFighting theme of the setting.

Add a kid or two for a BadassFamily. See BashBrothers and SiblingTeam for the non-romantic and sibling forms, respectively. If they're criminals, they're BonnieAndClyde. If they're villains, they live in UnholyMatrimony.

* ''{{The Wheel of Time}}'' has just about every named couple falling in this trope, a few examples being Rand and Min/Aviendha/Elayne, Lan and Nynaeve, Egwene and Gawyn, Perrin and Faile, Siuan and Gareth, a few Aes Sedai and their Warders, and a few Asha'man and their Warder-like Aes Sedai. The main plot of the series involves everyone important preparing for [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt The Last Battle]], so the high number of battle couples does make sense.

** At the end of the AffectionateParody ''Zorro The Gay Blade'', Zorro and [[SoapBoxSadie Charlotte Taylor Wilson]] become a battle couple.

* "101 Dalmatians": [[PapaWolf Pongo]] [[BattleCouple teams up]] with [[MamaBear Purdy]] in 101 Dalmatians to lay the hurting on the two thugs about kill not only their puppies but a all 99 puppies. Their treatment of the bad guys is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBgShR_8CG8 SCARY]]. You do not mess with puppies and let their parents find out. It is clear these dogs will go though hell and back to save their puppies, all 15 of them.

* Torg and Zoe from ''SluggyFreelance'' have a BattleCouple moment in [[http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=990725 this]] strip. True, they're not actually a ''couple'', but Torg's crush on Zoe does develop not long after this storyline.

* Jenny and Milo in ''TheZombieHunters''.

* Dan and Mitzi [=McNinja=] of ''[=~The Adventures of Dr. McNinja~=]''.
* Although we're still not sure if they'll end up being the Official Couple, Gil and Agatha of ''{{Girl Genius}}'' definitely make this work during the slaver wasps' invasion of the Castle Wulfenbach.
** Given recent events in Castle Heterodyne, it seems we may actually be getting into a battle ''threesome''. Agatha cares deeply for both Gil and Tarvek.
** BadassPrincess Zeetha and BadassNormal [[spoiler:(or maybe not so normal)]] Airman Higgs seem to be drifting towards this too.
* Candi and Donte in the CiemWebcomicSeries. Albeit, the latter is often times [[HeroicRROD sick]] and can't make it to the fight. By the third, he's been BroughtDownToNormal and his wife has gone solo in battles.

* Mentl and Zona in ''TheChallengesofZona''. Also Zona's parents Zonn and Ipola.
* ''{{Fans}}'' gives us Will and Shanna, and (in the Badass Threesome category), Rikk, Rumy and Ally.
