** Zig-zagged with Ran Mitake. Her social awkwardness is mistaken as being aloof by those who don't know her well, but her friends know her to have a passionate fire deep inside. * Nero/Secre from ''Manga/BlackClover''. She has black hair in her human form that's given a bluer shade in the anime, is described as a cool beauty by Finral, and generally acts very calm and apathetic.
* Ran, the titular character of ''Anime/CarriedByTheWindTsukikageRan'', is a textbook example of this trope, particularly in that she attracts trouble like a magnet (or is attracted to it?) and has a {{Moe}} AnimeChineseGirl following her around most of the time. She's quite tall, especially for the series standards, has long ebony hair, and doesn't speak much, though she seems a lot nicer than most examples. This is in [[AdaptationalPersonalityChange stark contrast]] to her videogame counterpart, where she's rather loud, and a bit of a SoreLoser.
** Chloe Cerise in ''Anime/PokemonJourneysTheSeries''. She has dark [[HairColorDissonance brown/purple-ish]] hair and is shown to be quite cold or distant to everyone except her mother. She gradually warms up as the series goes on.

* ''Anime/TheSecretGarden'': [[HotGypsyWoman Camila]] has dark, black hair, and is isolated from the rest of the villagers because they accuse her of being a "witch".
