* It stretches both the definition of "Amazon" and the definition of "Hercules", but DragonAge resident darkmagicgirl Morrigan, while not physically imposing by any means, is a strong willed, domineering, Darwinist who absolutely hates the concept of people submitting their wills to others. However, there are two people in the game she expresses sexual attraction to. Sten, the qunari warrior who could break her in half like a tooth pick, and a male Gray Warden. While the specifics of the Warden's physical characteristics are for the player to decide, as is his personality, in general he is portrayed as a strong willed, take-charge person with a commanding presence. * Firefly devotes an entire episode to subverting this, and establishing that Zoe is firmly devoted to her geeky husband and does not, nor has ever, felt any attraction to Mal.
** Wash may be a geeky NonActionGuy, but he is a "semi-muscular" man, not a weakling, and he did seem to have a better physique than Mal. (though that may just be because he's played by Alan Tudyk.)
*** And, she has shown herself to be turned on by his top-notch flying skills. This could either enforce her attraction to his geekiness, or be evidence that if he wasn't superior at something she wouldn't find him sexy, depending on how you see it.

Mal. Although Wash may be is brilliant as a geeky NonActionGuy, but pilot, he is a "semi-muscular" man, not a weakling, and he did seem never beats Zoe at "her own game" so to have a better physique than Mal. (though that may just be because he's played by Alan Tudyk.)

** Whether the Chinese Amazons gender-twist this trope to "All Herculeses Want Amazons" is unknown. Mousse, a male Chinese Amazon, is most certainly attracted to Shampoo, and being that he is comedically poor of vision, it seems to be that it's her combat expertise that drew him to her. Unfortunately for him, when he challenged her to a marriage match (they were only three years old at the time), she beat him utterly. It's not known whether or not he's tried it again since, but Cologne (who, admittedly, is also Shampoo's great-grandmother and doesn't like Mousse, particularly compared to Ranma Saotome) insists that his initial loss means he can't ever win Shampoo by that method. The fact he's stronger then she is now doesn't really mean all that much, as it's heavily implied that Mousse could never bring himself to really hurt her, and so she will always be able to beat him.

This is apparently an always negative trope. Izumi and Sig aren't this. They love eachother to almost sickening levels, no indication is given that that love is based on anything other than genuine love for one another and appreciation for each others' talents. He certainly isn't shown to be "superior to her" in any way. They're a Battle Couple, not this.

* In FullMetalAlchemist, Izumi Curtis is an extremely skilled martial artist capable of taking down soldiers and also a first-rate alchemist. Her husband? That would be Sieg Curtis, a muscular MightyGlacier the size of a bear.

In addition to being the law, Shampoo genuinely loves Ranma and became head over heels for him after he managed to defeat her in battle.

** Another major subversion is not only Hancock stronger than Luffy, it isn't his 'manly' traits that attracted her to him in the first place. It was his empathy, chastity (being able to resist her charms), and his general affability. Canonically, Cologne has never said anything about what will come after Ranma does marry Shampoo; the only persons who have given any thought at all to what's going to happen once Ranma gets married are Genma/Soun and Ukyo. The first two, especially Soun, are quick to declare that Ranma will "carry on the Anything Goes School" with Akane, while Ukyo, upon being told that Ranma had been Brought Down To Normal, assured him happily that she would be just fine with him taking care of the kids while she ran the business. Cologne and Shampoo, at most, give the reasoning "it's an ancient law and we're not going to break with tradition" for their pursuit of him. They also never make any mention in canon of taking Ranma back to China with them (in fact, they seem quite happy to have Ranma and Shampoo stay in Japan).

The fact he's stronger then she is now doesn't really mean all that much, as it's heavily implied that Mousse could never bring himself to really hurt her, and so she will always be able to beat him.
** Cologne also outright states something that is often implied in case of this trope, and while it might justify it also has its own UnfortunateImplications: the Amazons wants strong husbands, because that way they ensure they get strong daughters. A woman's purpose is assumed to be to produce kids, and she must ensure her kids get a good future. If you are a proud warrior race gal, this will of course include them being strong and good at fighting.

* It might not fit, but - Jennifer Walters, as HotAmazon as they come, had a long-standing crush on the MarvelUniverse take on Hercules.Hercules.

* It stretches both the definition of "Amazon" and the definition of "Hercules", but DragonAge resident darkmagicgirl Morrigan, while not physically imposing by any means, is a strong willed, domineering, Darwinest who absolutely hates the concept of people submitting their wills to others. However, there are two people in the game she expresses sexual attraction to. Sten, the qunari warrior who could break her in half like a tooth pick, and a male Gray Warden. While the specifics of the Warden's physical characterestics are for the player to decide, as is his personality, in general he is potrayed as a strong willed, take-charge person with a commanding presence. A figurative Hercules if not a literal one.

* There's a pretty classic example in a recent OnePiece arc, where Luffy winds up on Amazon Lily, an island of badass women almost totally oblivious to the existence of an opposite sex ruled over by the ridiculously gorgeous Shichibukai Boa Hancock, a puppy-kicking VainSorceress who despises men and has the power to turn people to stone using their own impure thoughts. This being a shounen manga, Luffy gets his Hero on in a big way and Hancock winds up falling for him. Interestingly, [[ChasteHero Luffy not only doesn't reciprocate such feelings, he's barely aware she has them. Added DiffLines:

** Cologne also outright states something that is often implied in case of this trope, and while it might justify it also has its own UnfortunateImplications: the Amazons wants strong husbands, because that way they ensure they get strong daughters. A woman's purpose is assumed to be to produce kids, and she must ensure her kids get a good future. If you are a proud warrior race gal, this will of course include them being strong and good at fighting.
