Also the person named the Mule almost single handedly derails the whole plan when he, if my memory serves, tries to form an intergalactic imperium a few centuries before the Foundation is ready to transition into one.]]

That one little phrase are all it takes to cause even the most monumental apparent loss to be completely turned on its head. Was the villain CrazyPrepared enough to insure that even his failure [[XanatosGambit somehow turns into a victory]]? Did he prepare a plan only just incompetent enough that the heroes could [[BatmanGambit predictably defeat him]]?

Those four little words are all it takes to cause even the most monumental apparent loss to be completely turned on its head. Did he prepare a plan only just incompetent enough that the heroes could [[BatmanGambit predictably defeat him]]?
