When Bi-Han starts considering the idea of transforming the Lin Kuei into an independent nation, both Tomas and Kuai Liang balk at the idea. Bi-Han coldly dismisses Tomas's concerns, snapping back that he isn't a "real" Lin Kuei because he was adopted. Some time after, though, Kuai Liang assures Tomas that at least he still considers him a brother, the two remaining firm allies in the face of Bi-Han's FaceHeelTurn.
