No longer a trope.

* YourCheatingHeart: All over the place.
** Wally's ex-fiancée Amanda cheated on him with her boss (who, to make things worse, was also ''Wally's'' boss).
** Fay's ex-husband was apparently cheating on her with AnythingThatMoves.
** In his past life as TheCasanova, Eddie repeatedly slept with married women while working as a ship's officer on a big cruise liner. Then an angry husband complained and got him blacklisted from the cruise industry.
** Jock cheats on his girlfriend Tina with Connie, the "grieving divorcée". Tina is ''not'' happy when she finds out about this.
** Lou Tarant cheats on his wife with his SexySecretary, Dee Dee.
** The male and female news anchors are cheating on their respective spouses with each other.
** Joe the bartender tells Fay a story from his pool-cleaning days about a lawyer who cheated on his wife. When the wife found out, she started throwing all her husband's clothes into the pool. Joe walked in just as the lawyer was fishing them out.

Can't be Knight Of Cerebus, it's only a single installment.

Added DiffLines:

* VileVillainSaccharineShow: Well the book isn't exactly saccharine, but Tark is noticeably played far more seriously, with most of his scenes emphasizing his psychotic nature, rather than funny things happening to him.

But he agreed to take the job as captain of the ''Extravaganza'' because his young stepson needed a heart operation, and he had no other way to pay for it (as the man who came to hire him helpfully pointed out).

crosswick to new trope Sexy Figure Gesture

Added DiffLines:

This culminates in him getting so mad that he orders his men [[spoiler: start a small boat and [[TooDumbToLive race out at high speed in the middle of a tropical storm]] to the ''Extravaganza''.]] This doesn't end well for him.
** Tark has a more low-key one when he realizes [[spoiler: he lost his inflatable boat with all the money he put on it.]] He panics and curses some, but quickly recovers. [[spoiler: Unfortunately for him, this distracts him from Frank coming up from behind to strangle him...]]

** The Chum Bucket bar and restaurant ([[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants no relation]]), which is a front for Lou Tarant's organization and the casting-off point for the ''Extravaganza of the Seas''. The Coast Guard knows all about it (referring to "our friends at the Chum Bucket"), but they haven't been able to prove anything yet.
** The ''Extravaganza of the Seas'' itself is a downplayed example. It's a legitimate casino as far as the customers are concerned, and most of the employees are just ordinary workers who aren't in on the secret. Still, most of the employees who have been there long enough have figured out that ''something'' shady is going on, even if they aren't eager to find out the details.

Removed bad example. Taking place in the same universe is not enough to make something a Stealth Sequel. Aside from this small detail, there is no direct connection; no characters or plotlines appear in both Big Trouble and this book. So it's just a Continuity Nod, which is already on this page.
