* TheUnapologetic: Vetherr is sure that he ever only acted for the greater good, and will never allow himself to think he has made a mistake when he hurt the twins.

** The entire monster races that are not [[AlwaysChaoticEvil always chaotic evil]] power Vetherr through their sole birth and existence, even if they oppose him.
** Similarly, anyone who would undertake a difficult or cruel but necessary action would inconsciously worship the thirteenth god.
* VastBureaucracy: The domain of Phumtar is a gigantic castle made out of all the forms he has approved, disapproved, or has yet to read.
* VictoryByEndurance: If you choose to be a farmer, your main way to deal with a fight will be to just tank whatever attack you are subjected to while you wait for a good roll.
* ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption: You can't complete your adventure without fighting at least twice, and avoiding killing is almost impossible. Even if you manage to do so, it will often be because someone else dirtied his hands.

--> ''After wreaking death on every corner of the continent, his legend disappeared at once. The invincible Hard-Tooth-Uther woke up one morning and everything changed. Blood no longer delighted his taste buds, the shrieks of his victims no longer evoked him a sweet serenade, and his fingers plunged deep into his enemeies' guts no longer gave of the smell of happy days. The ''Saga of Billy'' is a series of [[SwordAndSorcery Sword and Sorcery]] Gamebooks written by [[LetsPlay/BobLennon Bob Lennon]] and David Kuhn and illustrated by C. Sideralis. The first volume was relased in 2021.

After witnessing [[DoomedHometown the death of everyone in your hometown]], wiped out by a plague, you decide to leave the farming life behind you and go live the same kind of adventurous existence your grandfather led before [[CallToAgriculture retiring in the middle of nowhere to plant pumpkins]].
With the help of a former acquaintace of [[TheMentor your mentor]], a hot-blooded [[BarbarianHero barbarian]], you roam the continent in search of adventure and generally try to survive the terrible situations in which you often find yourself.

----
!!''The Saga Of Billy'' provides examples of:
* ActionHero: The Pyro-Barbarian very much is one, and can be one as well, provided you chose a warrior's build.
* AffablyEvil:
**Vetherr is very respectful of his enemy Zarkan and never fails to congratulate him each and every time the god of honor thwarts one of his schemes. That doesn't make up for stealing Melene's fertility and Ytia's reason, or for consecrating his immortal life to the extermination of humanity.
**Ogres are described as nothing more than babies so large that nobody can stop them from eating whatever they want. If you are nice to one of them and give him enough food, he will gladly leave you to your own devices.
*AllLovingHero: Melene has the love of a mother for about everything that lives.
*AllTheOtherReindeer: Vetherr is forever ostracized by the other gods of Erenner, with good reason.
*AllPowerfulBystander: Phumtar embodies this trope. Everything that happens in the world appears before him as a form he has to accept or reject, based on wether it follows the laws of physics or not. Everything else is unimportant, and since Phumtar is [TrueNeutral/True Neutral] when it comes to his job, if someone killed him without breaking the laws of physics, he would approve it immediatly and pass away.
*AlwaysChaoticEvil: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Goblins, gnolls, orcs, trolls, ogres, dark elves and archnauresses are all initially made out to be this, as they are often enemies of any kind of human civilisation. However, things are a bit different.
**Trolls are a very [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy honor-bound and proud people]], its members often being [[GraciousLosers Gracious Losers]].
**Gnolls are loyal and have a great sense of humor.
**Orcs are hard-working people.
**Goblins aren't intelligent enough to truly be cruel.
**Ogres are just humongous babies who will leave you alone if you give them something to chew on.
**All of these people can form genuine bonds of friendship with a human, and some can even fall in love with one.
*AlwaysSomeoneBetter:
**Parodikos, god of laughter and jokes, likes to trick the other gods, but he is unable to surprise Blathnatt, god of knowledge, whose sight he cannot escape. However, Blathnatt himself is incapable of seeing Nyses, the god of secrets.
**Similarly, Mutra, despite being the god of muscle (among other things), seems incapable to get his legs to be as muscular as his friend Neit's, the god of speed and sound.
*AmbiguouslyHuman: Fanta was a companion of your grandfather, and then the pal of [[OlderSidekick the P.B.]], and he doesn't seem age. He thinks in terms of probabilities during [[TheDungAges in a world where knowing basic maths makes you a genius if you are not a noble]]. He seems to know multiple secret passages in Lennonia. And he appears exactly when you need him and the world needs you.
If it turns out these are all coincidential and he is just a [[CoolOldGuy Cool Old Guy]] who knows lots of things, it will be really surprising.
*AmnesiacGod: Ytia is one, although she is still part of her pantheon, rather than being lost in the mortal world.
*AmnesiacsAreInnocent: Ytia certainly is.
*AnAxeToGrind: His axe is the P.B.'s [[WeaponOfChoice weapon of choice]].
*AntiFrustrationFeatures:
**Every build is viable as long as your choices throughout the book are grossly coherent with your character.
**Most riddles are either not mandatory, or can be skipped, albeit at a small price ( mostoften a malus in an upcoming fight)
**Traps are not random, and small hints are offered before you do something stupid.
**If you die, you can restart at the beginning of the act, rather than having to redo the whole book. Although you could also simply put the good-old [[SaveScumming save scumming tactics]] to good use.
*Anti-Villain: Vetherr takes no pleasure in his task. It is implied that he genuinely liked Melene and Ytia and only hurt them because he needed the power to oppose humanity and protect the world as a whole.
*ApprovalOfGod: Bob authorised any kind of fanwork or reference to his books, as long asit does not consist simply of ripping of the stories he writes.
*Arcadia: Plant-Pumpkin was this to your grandfather.
*ArchEnemy: Zarkan and Vetherr are destined to clash eternally, unless the Father of monsters finally wins and eradicates mankind.
*AudienceSurrogate: Billy, of course. After all, "YOU ARE BILLY!". Still, it is quite {{Downplayed|Trope}}, as Billy has his own thoughts and opinions and showcases a different personality based of his build. Most of the time, he is [[TheWatson The Watson]] and that's the end of it.
*BadassNormal:
**The P.B. is a one of the best mortal warriors around. He may fear magic, but he still fares reasonably well against those who use it.
**You can also be one, albeit to a lesser extent, as it is your improvisation gift that make you truly dangerous, rather than your skill.
*BarbarianTribe: The P.B. comes from one.
*BarbarianHero: The Pyro-Barbarian.
*BattleCry: Though he is still far from a [[ScreamingWarrior Screaming Warrior]], the P.B. has one:
--> "BUUULIAAA!"
*BeleagueredBureaucrat: Phumtar is a platypus who has to approve or disapprove anything that happens in the world. [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Anything. In. The. World.]] Understandably, he is quite neurotic.
*BeingEvilSucks: Vetherr's actions have probably made him one of the saddest beings in existence, though he is utterly unapologetic about it.
