If you follow his instructions you will get killed, meaning the game just gives you a wrong clue and there are no other clues to help you besides that the solution has nothing to do with the tiles' numbers. You have nine possible ways, so you still can make it with TrialAndErrorGameplay and this puzzle is avoidable if you choose another path (however in the other path is very difficult too).
* DeadlyDisc: At one point you can get into an automated Razor Disc that flies at you with deadly accuracy.
