'''Postman Pat's Day in Bed''' is a 1987 storybook based on the ''WesternAnimation/PostmanPat'' series. It was written by the series creator, John Cunliffe, and illustrated by Joan Hickson.

Pat is feeling poorly and unable to deliver the post. He has to spend the day in bed while a stranger takes on the post rounds.

!!Tropes:
* ArtisticLicenseAnimalCare: Mrs. Goggins leaves a bowl of milk for Jess. Real adult cats cannot digest the lactose in milk.
* ArtisticLicenseMedicine: Mrs. Goggins claims she's okay to visit Pat because she's had the flu before, and won't get it again. Unlike chickenpox, someone can absolutely get the flu more than once.
* DistaffCounterpart: Mollie, the substitute postwoman, turns out to not be all that different from Pat; she sometimes gets the van stuck in the mud, she stops to chat with everyone on the round, and she's a FriendToAllChildren.
* HotDrinkCure: Mrs. Goggins has Pat take an aspirin with a hot drink for his headache.
* OutOfFocus: Julian only briefly appears at the school, and Sara doesn't even appear at all.
* SickEpisode: Pat has caught the flu, and can't deliver the post.
* SicknessEqualsRedness: Pat's nose goes red while he is sick.
* SpikyHair: Mollie has quite the punkish hairdo; it's spiked and dyed green and pink.
