** Characters defined by negative traits such as Mr. Uppity and Little Miss Bossy usually learn better by the end of their own story... [[AesopAmnesia but when they reappear they still have these characteristics, because otherwise they wouldn't be that character any more]].

** Mr. Uppity is cured of his snootiness by a goblin who casts a magic spell on him that makes him shrink to mere inches in height whenever he is rude to anyone.

* HighClassGlass: The rich and rude Mr. Uppity wears a monocle, as well as a top hat.

** In "Little Miss Naughty", the eponymous Little Miss Naughty stomps on Mr. Uppity's hat and breaks Mr. Clever's glasses. Later, she attempts to put red paint on Mr. Nosey's nose and throw a rock at Mr. Happy's window, only for the [[{{Invisibility}} invisible]] Mr. Impossible to stop her by [[NasalTrauma tweaking her nose]].

** Mr. Uppity is rude to everyone he meets, resulting in everyone calling him "Miserable Old Uppity", he grows out of it after meeting a goblin who punishes him by making him shrink every time he's rude to somebody.

** Mr. Uppity shrinks to a tiny size every time he is rude to somebody.

* {{Retcon}}: Mr. Uppity is described as the rudest person, though this was changed to "second" rudest once Mr. Rude was added.
* RichBitch: Both Mr. Uppity and Miss Splendid are very rich and snobby towards the other characters, though Miss Splendid is a bit nicer in the 1990s cartoons.

** Both ''Mr Impossible's Lesson'' and ''Little Miss Shy And The Fairy Godmother'' involve Little Miss Shy being put through a gratuitous act of cruelty from one of the ruder characters (Mr. Uppity in the former and Little Miss Bossy and Little Miss Naughty in the latter) and getting help via magical means. The key difference is that in the former, Mr. Uppity [[PetTheDog shows some honor at the end and thanks her along with Mr. Bump and Mr. Clumsy for preventing his house from burning down]] while in the latter, Little Miss Bossy and Little Miss Naughty receive [[KarmaHoudini little, if any repercussions for bullying Little Miss Shy for blushing.]]
** ''One Day In The Life Of Mr. Perfect'' and ''Mr. Men Go Dancing'' have two of the ruder characters trying to make Mr. Perfect upset. (Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Uppity in the former and Mr. Mischief and Little Miss Naughty in the latter.) The main difference is that in the former, Mr. Grumpy not only not succeeds but actually gets punished while in the latter, neither Mr. Mischief nor Little Miss Naughty are [[KarmaHoudini punished]] for making a laughing stock out of both Mr. Perfect and Little Miss Star just so they can win the dance competition.

** Dr. First is similar to Mr. Uppity (Adam Hargreaves admitted this to ''Magazine/DoctorWhoMagazine'').
