She then remembers that this same ingredient can be used for a ''high''-level potion, and assumes that this must be the true intention of the exam. Sarasa Ford is a girl who lost her family and home at a very young age. Inspired by an alchemist who visited her orphanage, she studied day and night until she could be a licensed alchemist so she can finally live the good life she was denied. After graduating, her teacher and mentor offered her a house far away from the capital city as a graduation gift. Now she could start her shop there with all the rare ingredients...but the house it's a dilapitated wreck in the middle of nowhere! But this will not stop Sarasa, not even the frightening monsters, the unknown forest, or the tricky customer petitions, she ''will'' be the greatest alchemist in the world!

To be fair, a group of bandits were responsible for killing her parents, and Lorea's grandparents were also killed by another group of bandits, adding another reason for Sarasa not to spare them.
* BewareOfTheNiceOnes: After two Hellfire Grizzlies cornered Lorea in Sarasa's house, Sarasa ''[[DeathGlare snaps]]'' and kills both monsters before the two can reach her (the second one [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere tried to flee]], but Sarasa [[UnstoppableRage was not going]] [[DiagonalCut to leave it like that]]).
* DownerBeginning: ''Oh, boy''...first, Sarasa's parents are killed by bandits, then her house is repossessed and/or stolen (it's implied that by the same people who hired the bandits), she gets put in an orphanage, and then she starts studying as soon as she can, without having any friends both in the orphanage and her alchemist school.
