To elaborate: There are stories involving worlds being doomed, and a hero is needed to save the day. However, there are worlds where there is no such hero. Namidare males carry the responsibility to go such worlds, save them, and be their hero. The trouble came when Rekka's efforts caused many heroines of those worlds to fall in love with him, and he was unable to choose any of them, resulting in them fighting over him, sparking the cosmic war in the future R came from. R's purpose is to make sure he actually chooses one of the heroines he saves.

* GenreSavvy: A significant amount of the story revolves around Rekka's ability to mix and match the heroines' skills/villains to resolve each other's stories. [[spoiler:To wit, on the day the story begins, he uses a laser gun from Iris to easily slay the Demon King terrorizing Harissa's world, who was immune to magic. He then defeats the magician trying to kidnap Satsuki by using a sword from Harrissa's world that negates the magician's magical barriers. Finally, he dissuades the king of the Satamonia kingdom from forcefully marrying Iris by getting Satsuki to access information on their misdeeds via the AkashicRecords, which he threatens to expose to the Galactic Federation.]]
