''Children of the Storm'' is a historical mystery novel by Elizabeth Peters (penname of Barbara Mertz), first published in 2003. It's the fifteenth book in the ''Literature/AmeliaPeabody'' series and is set in 1919-1920.
World War One is over and the Emerson family can return to Egypt. Amelia, now a grandmother, hopes that she'll have a quiet year for once. Her hopes are dashed by a series of strange events, ranging from pranks to near-fatal accidents.
