** This games predecessor, ''VideoGame/{{BioShock|1}}'' was a critically acclaimed game, but there was one moment in the game that was heavily criticized; a level with an escort mission, where the player had to protect a little girl with absolutely no concept of self-preservation throughout a dangerous environment. In ''VideoGame/BioShock2'' the escort concept was distributed over several points in the game rather than all at once and criticized for it as well. ''VideoGame/BioShockInfinite'', easily the most popular of the trilogy, was a success because of its excellent storyline - the story was about a man escorting a girl throughout a dangerous environment. Though it probably helps that Elizabeth has no health bar and you don't need to constantly act as her meatshield.

** While there were several other factors that led to the second culprit's downfall, their OnlyFriend, [[spoiler:Kiyotaka Ishimaru]], played a surprisingly large role. Kiyotaka proposes the idea that the culprit's tracksuit matched Chihiro's, prompting Mondo to fall into his INeverSaidItWasPoison moment, when Mondo brings up Chihiro's blue tracksuit.]]
