** In the second episode, we learn that Lestat's nickname for Louis is "Saint Louis," which is a CallBack to the first episode where Lestat explains that he originally intended to start a new life for himself in St. Louis, but ended up staying in New Orleans because he experienced LoveAtFirstSight when he saw Louis. He also calls Louis "mon cher" the masculine form for "my dear" in French multiple times, and once Claudia joins their family, he calls her by various pet names like "ma petite" the literal translation is "my little one" (feminine form), although it can used as the equivalent of "my sweetheart" and "ma chérie" the feminine form of "my darling". Furthermore, in the Season 2 premiere, the hallucination of Lestat greets Louis with "Bonjour mon amour" "Hello, my love", and because this manifestation of his ex-lover is based on Louis' subconscious, it suggests that Lestat had referred to him as "mon amour" when they were together.

** Once Claudia joins their family, Lestat calls her by various pet names like "ma petite" the literal translation is "my little one" (feminine form), although it can used as the equivalent of "my sweetheart" and "ma chérie" the feminine form of "my darling".
** Lestat's nickname for his FirstLove Nicolas is "Nicki."

** There's approximately a decade separating Lestat and his FirstLove Nicolas. In 1794, Lestat is 33-34 years old (depending on the month) while Nicolas appears to be in his early-to-mid 20s. Armand even refers to Nicolas as "garçon" (which means "boy" in French) twice, which further accentuates the age difference.

* BiteOfAffection:
** At the end of Louis and Lestat's OfficialKiss in the church, Lestat's lower lip is being tugged slightly as he's about to pull away, so Louis had bit him gently there.
** While seducing Armand in a private theatre box, Lestat gently bites his left ear lobe.

** In 1794, the vampire Lestat and the human Nicolas are in love, and they are a happy, flirty couple before Armand interferes with their romance and attempts to separate them because it's against the vampire laws. Shortly after Lestat saves Nicolas from the Children of Satan, Lestat turns his lover into a vampire.

* FirstKiss:
** The first time Louis and Lestat lock lips together also coincides with TheirFirstTime. Louis is a ClosetGay, and after months of suppressing his feelings for his best friend, he launches himself at Lestat (they're both already nude at this point) and kisses him fiercely, pushing Lestat against a wall. They're both holding each other's faces tightly to deepen the kiss, and lovemaking soon follows.
** Armand kisses Louis for the first time outside of the latter's apartment. As a coven master, Armand is duty-bound to execute Louis for being a rogue vampire, yet he can't bring himself to do it because he loves (and lusts after) Louis. The kiss may indicate that he's beginning to care more about Louis than the coven.

* AGodAmI:
** Although Lestat is a steadfast atheist, he regards vampires --- who are immortal beings with superpowers -- as god-like. He attempts to impart this belief to his fledgling Louis.
--->Lestat: If you'd listen to me, if you finally submit to your nature, you will be filled, Louis, with all the life you can hold. You will see death in all its beauty, life as it is only known at the very point of the death. You alone, of all creatures, can see death with that impunity. You alone, under the rising moon... can strike like the hand of God.
** Lestat proclaims to the Children of Satan that vampires are gods (the following quote is an English translation of French dialogue):
--->Lestat: God, Satan, Armand? Does it feel true? Hmm? The Gods are us. You are the Gods.

** In the tenth episode, the hallucination of Lestat slut-shames his ex-lover Louis by calling him "You little whore" in his song "Come to Me Again", yet the real Lestat was frankly a slut who cheated on Louis for 23 years and he cheated on his FirstLove Nicolas.

** In the tenth episode, Armand's observation about humans is "Your cell phones make you slaves," yet he's frequently seen with an iPad throughout Season 1 and in the Season 2 premiere.
