(who is Arthur's little sister and an aardvark like him) decides to find herself a "prince" out of jealousy after her friend Emily boasted about being kissed [[IKissYourHand on the hand]] by a boy while on a trip to France. The "prince" she decides on happens to be [[BunniesForCuteness James]], and she spends the rest of the episode trying to get him to kiss her, [[spoiler: and does eventually get one from him]].

** In "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone," Mr. Ratburn's spouse, besides being male (which caused the episode to be [[BannedEpisode banned]] from Alabama Public Television), also happens to be an aardvark.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheBackyardigans'': Practically all pairings, considered they're all of different species. Bonus points go to any pairing with Uniqua, who we don't even ''know'' the species of.

** '''All''' of the [[CrackPairing Crack Pairings]] Sarah made in "The Shippening", except for the human Female!Gumball and Darwin.

* ''WesternAnimation/HelloKittysFurryTaleTheater'' has [[Franchise/{{HelloKitty}} Hello Kitty]] [[Creator/{{Sanrio}} and friends]] putting on various plays based on fairy tales and movies. Hello Kitty and Tuxedo Sam the penguin are usually cast as love interests, and likewise Chip the seal and My Melody the bunny.

* ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' apparently loves this: The OfficialCouple of [[TokenHuman Robin]] and [[HumanAliens Starfire]], the short-lived MayDecemberRomance between [[HalfHumanHybrid Raven]] and [[OurDragonsAreDifferent Malchior]], human Terra and [[{{Animorphism}} shapeshifting]] [[PointyEars Beast]] [[CuteLittleFangs Boy]], Kitten and Fang (we are not sure what exactly he is, but he has a giant spider for a head. And she's the daughter of a moth-man, although she ''really'' takes after her (unseen) mother).

* ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'':

* Launchpad from ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' has been in a relationships with both a mer-duck and a sapient cloud of energy at one point. [[spoiler:He also falls in love with [[{{Lunarians}} Penumbra]] in the Season 2 finale, though [[IncompatibleOrientation nothing ever comes of it]].]]

* ''WesternAnimation/BestEd'': Miss Fluffé, a hamster, has a crush on Ed, a dog.It doesn't go beyond that due to [[ObliviousToLove Ed's obliviousness]].

** [[GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe Ahsoka Tano]] is a [[RubberForeheadAliens Togruta]] and has a human love interest in ex-[[DatingCatwoman Separatist]] senator Lux Bonteri and Nix Okami. Plus Kidde, a Twilek racer.

* Launchpad from ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' has been in a relationships with both a mer-duck and a sapient cloud of energy at one point. [[spoiler:He also falls in love with [[{{Lunarians}} Penumbra]] in the Season 2 finale, though [[IncompatableOrientation nothing ever comes of it]].]]

** Racism between witches and demons is pretty much non-existant so romance between the two races passes without any comment like the background couples shown at [[HighSchoolDance Grom]] and Warden Wrath's one-sided obsession with Eda in the pilot. That said, no married couples have been seen and it's unclear if they're actually capable of interbreeding.

** It's eventually revealed that [[spoiler:Luz and Amity weren't the first human/witch pairing on the Boiling Isles, with Belos/Philip having murdered his older brother Caleb back in the 1600s due to him falling in love with Evelyn. It's also implied that Caleb and Evelyn were the ancestors of the Clawthorne family, which would mean that Dell/Gwen and Eda/Raine are also examples of this, as both Dell and Eda would have trace amounts of human ancestry (Eda's older sister Lilith would also be partially human, but the fact that she's aromantic asexual would proclude her from being in a relationship).]]

** "Hollow Mind" implies that [[spoiler:Luz and Amity weren't the first human/witch pairing on the Boiling Isles, with Belos/Philip's MentalWorld seeming to hint that [[CainAndAbel he murdered his brother]] after they fell in love with and fathered a child with a witch [[AmbiguouslyRelated who may or may not be an ancestor of the Clawthorne family]]. * A few episodes of ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDad'' had Hayley paired with Reginald, who is a koala (actually, a koala with his brain switched with a homeless guy's by the C.I.A.). Then there's the episode "Kloger" which pairs up Roger, an alien, with Klaus, a goldfish with the brain of a German man.

* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'':
** Spike (a young dragon) has a not-even-remotely secret crush on Rarity (a unicorn). This is also carried over into the universe of ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls'', in which Spike is a dog and Rarity is a human. Rarity doesn't necessarily feel the same way, but she doesn't find it odd either, so it's presumably fairly normal.
** Although we haven't seen it on screen, pony and donkey relationships must exist because a couple of mules have been seen on the show.
** Sandbar the pony asks Yona the Yak to dance, and they are seen living together much later.
** ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls'' has Sunset Shimmer (who is actually a pony from Equestria turned human) who used to date Flash Sentry's human counterpart. Twilight also seems interested in him, but it's hardly a romance.
** The episode "Just for Sidekicks" gave a ShipTease between Rarity's cat Opalescence and Rainbow Dash's tortoise Tank.
* "Escape from Catrina", the second of the ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyTVSpecials'', featured a romance between a [[VoluntaryShapeshifting shapeshifting]] LizardFolk man named Rep and the eponymous {{Catfolk}} woman. [[DomesticAbuse Unfortunately]] for Rep, Catrina spent most of the special [[NotHimself Not Herself]] thanks to an addiction to [[PsychoSerum witchweed potion]]. She managed to [[HeelFaceTurn kick the habit]] in the end, though.
** And in the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyAndFriends TV series]]. there was a Pegasus named Heart Throb, a predecessor of [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Rarity]] in that she was a hopeless romantic. She also had at least two romances with human men, one of them being PrinceCharming, no less!
* [[FauxSymbolism Eva]], the human heroine of ''WesternAnimation/ObanStarRacers'', gets a crush on the [[HeroesWantRedHeads handsome]] alien [[KnightInShiningArmor prince]] [[TheRival Aikka]].
* In early seasons of ''WesternAnimation/OggyAndTheCockroaches'', Jack the cat and Joey the roach had been shown to date some human women. Joey also dated a [[NonMammalMammaries bee with breasts]]. In [[AlternateUniverse Season 5]], however, Jack the cat's characters get a new love interest, Bob the bulldog's characters' daughter. In the episode "[[{{Parody}} Jackoromeo and Bobette]]" in particular, Jack's character named Jackoromeo falls in love with Bob's character's daughter named Bobette. His cat friends and Bob's character at first are strongly against their relationship due to romantic incompatibility between cats and dogs (a metaphor for social classes), but in the end they become a happy family.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheDragonPrince'': Gives us Callum, a human, falling in love with Rayla, and elf. Considering that their two races have been at war for centuries, though, no one really seems to have batted an eye at the pair yet. They even joke that the world isn't ready for their love and that their relationship must be kept a secret. There are a couple of instances in an earlier episode (long before Callum and Rayla developed their feelings) in which Soren, another human, seemed to be attracted to Rayla, to which she was unimpressed and nothing really came of it. Another such relationship is implied toward the end of Season 3 between Callum's aunt and another elf named Janai.

** Carl's father is presumably a rabbit since Carl is a rabbit while his mother is an aardvark.

** He once dated Carol, an antelope he picked up over the Internet. Her ex-boyfriend is a crab.
** He also dated a [[CuteMonsterGirl Were]][[YouSexyBeast wolf]].

** Scoutmaster Lumpus is a moose who is in love with a deer named Miss Doe. They get married by the show's penultimate episode.
