* The soundtrack to the 1987 teen flick Film/SummerSchool features a song performed by then-newcomer Elisa Fiorillo called "Jackie", in which the singer romantically fantasizes about someone of the same name. On top of [[GenderNeutralWriting Jackie's gender never being explicitly identified throughout the track]], the second verse opens with the lyric, "I woke up smelling your perfume," a curious line to be addressing to a heterosexual guy in most situations, especially [[TheGenerationGap back]] [[TheEighties then]], but which is more conventional if Jackie is supposed to be female. In fact, these lyrics are such a prominent case of Les Yay that [[CoverVersion subsequent covers]] by Blue Zone, Joanne, and Redzone changed them to, "I woke up [[TheCoverChangesTheMeaning thinking it was you]]."

* Finnish pop-rock band PMMP's music video for their song "Rakkaalleni". The song itself is about a deteriorating romantic relationship (most likely a married one, since there is a line about them having children), but since Finnish doesn't have grammatical genders or gendered pronouns, it could be interpreted as either a straight or lesbian relationship.

* The primary members of Russian pop punk band Kis-Kis, Sonya Somuseva and Alina Olesheva, embody this trope. The two are very affectionate and touchy-feely with each other and have kissed each other on the lips several times. They even have a song about a girl falling in love with her best friend ("Podruga"), with the two playing lovers in the music video for it.

Also, when Patton invited band member Roddy Bottum (who came out as gay in 1993) to write a song, the result was "Be Aggressive", a song pretty blatantly about oral sex between two men. Bottum expected Patton to be embarrassed by this fact, but Patton thought it was hilarious and the song was the second-most played during live performances.

* A lot of Belle and Sebastian songs have this. There's at least one flavour of Yay in "Seeing Other People"; either it's two boys kissing just for practice, or it's a girl and a guy -- the latter of which is suggesting that the girl should perhaps turn her attention to girls. "Judy and the Dream of Horses" has a decidedly bisexual protagonist. "Jonathan David," in addition to the homoerotic Biblical reference, can be read to be a guy pining after another guy, who's pining after a girl -- if read in a certain way. And "She's Losing It" is just about SchoolgirlLesbians.

* Eminem's cameo in ''Film/TheInterview'' is based on his reputation for homoeroticism when he unexpectedly comes out on a chat show, surprised everyone else hasn't figured out yet that he's gay ("I left a breadcrumb trail of gayness"). When questioned on a lyric from his song "Medicine Ball" ("''I said, nice rectum, I just got a vasectomy, Hector, so I can't get you pregnant when I bisexually wreck ya''"), Eminem looks misty-eyed and claims that Hector 'was a real guy'.

** A whole track on ''Music/TheMarshallMathersLP'' is Eminem playing his DepravedHomosexual character, Ken Kaniff, recieving an extraordinarily gross-sounding blowjob from Music/InsaneClownPosse, who then [[WrongNameOutburst moan "Eminem"]]. It's QueerPeopleAreFunny, but he seems to be really enjoying the opportunity to roleplay as a gay pervert, and the idea of guys being into him.

* Music/{{Eminem}}, Music/FiftyCent and Music/DrDre are surprisingly touchy whenever you see them together, Eminem said that he loves Dr. Dre, and that he would do anything for either of them, Eminem is Fifty's "favorite white boy" and Eminem rapped about how close he is to Fifty while hugging him. Not to mention D12 + Eminem, [=GUnit=] + 50 Cent, Music/{{NWA}}+Dr. Dre. "I Need A Doctor" is basically a beautiful five-minute tribute to Eminem and Dre's deep bond.

* Music/CrosbyStillsNashAndYoung was a band full of endless interpersonal drama, but until recent years the friendship between David Crosby and Graham Nash was consistently close. Very close. So close that Crosby had a room in Nash's house, they bought joint gifts for friends, and they had a double wedding. Crosby, on multiple occasions, would call Nash "beautiful". They even dated the same women, sometimes - Crosby thought that Nash and Joni Mitchell would really hit it off, so he talked them up to each other and made sure they met... in spite of the fact that he was dating Mitchell himself, at the time.
