* Barty Crouch Jr. definitely seems to idolise Voldemort a bit too much. It's taken to the extreme in the film adaptation of Goblet of Fire when he actually wipes blood off Harry's arm saying that his blood now runs within the Dark Lord, before [[{{Squick}} licking it off his finger]].

* Snape's desire to look into Harry's eyes is suggestive, as [[http://slinkers.deviantart.com/gallery/217757?offset=24#/d13laoi this comic]] illustrates. [[spoiler:Canonically, it's because Harry inherited those eyes from Lily, the only person Snape truly loved.]]
** It was probably unintentional but Snape's actions on Order of Phoenix stand out. The way he holds Harry's hand and forcefully takes him to the dungeon, and after that delivers the line "In these lessons, [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything I'll attempt to penetrate, and you will attempt to resist]]." * Lupin acts unfalteringly cheerful toward Snape no matter how negatively Snape responds to his presence in ''Prisoner of Azkaban''; it's clear he was trying to make amends for their school days but it is constant. On the other side, Snape does try to kill a Death Eater who was aiming at Lupin.

* Draco and Harry's... preoccupation with each other. After being rejected by him, Draco spends their [[Literature/HarryPotterAndThePhilosophersStone first year]] trying to thwart Harry, and apparently complained about him through the entire summer break, and in their [[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheChamberOfSecrets second year]] he's so busy teasing Harry that he completely misses the Snitch and loses his first game. Moreover, he's always doing things to get his attention in the Great Hall, even though the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables are on opposite sides and have the two other houses between them.

** Harry insults nearly every Slytherin students' looks... Except Draco. This goes all the way to the first book with Draco being described as having "glittering eyes", "shiny hair", and Harry noticing the specific way he blushes, keeps mentioning his facial features, voice, skin, etc all throughout the books.

** Lupin only got with Tonks ''after'' Sirius died. The pair are barely seen interacting, let alone developing a relationship.
