** A non-video example - when Jamie first got Kepler he updated his social media bios to include the phrase "doggo dad" despite presenting as female at the time. Post-transition, this description of himself has become a lot more apt. Perhaps Jamie was trying to tell us something all along?

* In the first ''WebAnimation/DeclineOfVideoGaming'' (a flash series that theorized what video games be like in the future), one game "featured" was ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid 5'', where Solid Snake was an old wheel chair bound man. In real life ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid4'' features an old (but not wheel chair bound) Snake.

* This [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fez8Gj2mDRg Cartoon Cafe]] short pokes fun at Nickelodeon All Star Brawl by having Bugs Bunny comparing NASB to Multiversus by using the fact that the game didn't have voice acting when it came out. Sometime later, voice acting would finally be added to All Star Brawl. Sadly the short also became HarsherInHidsight, as Bugs Bunny claims that people were forgetting about NASB due to how lacking it was comparing to Multiversus, only for Multiversus' popularity starting to decreases over the months ever since that video was released, while All Star Brawl's popularity not only would increase, but the game would even gain a sequel.

* Creator/JamieVsTheVoid: There's a scene in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHjHjuevOUI "Why I changed my Name."]] where Jamie is seen entering their new name into the name field in ''VideoGame/AnimalCrossingWildWorld'' and gets the remark "A fine name... for a ''boy!''" from Kapp'n, which Jamie cringes at. At the time Jamie identified only as non-binary and had a more androgynous presentation, but eventually came to identify as transmasculine and began presenting more masculine, making this scene look quaint in retrospect.

* From ''WebAnimation/YouTubePoop'':

** The WebAnimation/StrongBadEmail "for kids" is about the idea of Strong Bad running a kids' show. At the end, Strong Bad comments that Homsar would be a better host, followed by a [[CutawayGag mock kids' show being hosted by Homsar]]. It had, among other things, silly songs being repeated over and over. Matt Chapman, creator of Homestar Runner, later went on to direct Yo Gabba Gabba!, a kids series with silly songs being repeated over and over.

* ''WebAnimation/FiftyWaysToDieInMinecraft'': Part 3, Death 41 is the Titanic being struck by an iceberg after the captain says "there are no icebergs in Minecraft". Icebergs were added to ''VideoGame/Minecraft'' a year and a half later with the Update Aquatic.

** The original review of ''VideoGame/DukeNukemForever''. Yahtzee's "review" was recently voted the [[http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/1968-Viewers-Choice-Duke-Nukem-Forever best he'd ever done]] by members of ''The Escapist'' - mere days afterward, Gearbox announced that ''DNF'' was [[http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2010/09/03/controversial-long-awaited-duke-nukem-forever-will-finally-be-released/ actually finished]], and a demo was playable at PAX. Now ''that's'' timing.
** Listen to the start of his [[http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/1546-Battlefield-Bad-Company-2 Bad Company 2]] review, and look how ''VideoGame/DukeNukemForever'' turned out.
** Yahtzee had quite the longstanding thing going with DNF. Way, way back at the start of Zero Punctuation, he mentioned in his "appearance" at the 2007 Game Developer's Choice awards (a video that came out nearly four years before the game itself was released) that if DNF "doesn't turn out to be history's greatest contribution to human culture", he "and every other reviewer on Earth [was] going to saw its bullocks off." Not only did his mock review describe it as such a contribution, but when the actual game came out, it got brutally, nearly universally panned-- including by Yahtzee himself.
** In his review for ''Fable 2'', Yahtzee opens up by reminding the viewers that ''Fable 1'' was the second review he ever made, so all he has to do is review ''The Darkness'' again, then crash and burn into total obscurity and his life will be perfectly symmetrical. Much later, he reviews ''The Darkness 2''. Of course, he didn't fade into obscurity so this is at least a partial subversion.

** In a cross-show case, Season 16 has Atlus Arcadium Rex venting off his frustration by shooting lighting at a moon, eventually shattering half of it to make it resemble the moon from fellow Creator/RoosterTeeth show ''Webanimation/{{RWBY}}''. This episode occurred in July 2018. In November 2018, ''RWBY'' reveals that their moon was indeed shattered by an angry god venting his frustration.

* ''WebAnimation/HTFPlus'': In "HTF+FI/RF 3" LG Creepybloom asks Rainbow Dash for help to find FI Creepybloom claiming her to be very dangerous, Rainbow Dash on the other hand does not take her seriously and asks her to calm down and wondering 'how much harm could a filly do?', the video was posted ''after'' [[EnfantTerrible Cozy Glow]], a pegasus filly, was revealed to be [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS8E25SchoolRazePart1 planning to suck out all the magic from Equestria to claim herself as empress]], but the script itself was completed ''before'' [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS8E12MarksForEffort Cozy Glow's introduction]].

** One of the most remembered gags from this flash animation is [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Lucas and Dawn]] (and Creator/GameFreak) realizing that after having [[OlympusMons Arceus the PokéGod]] in their game, they can't [[PlotLeveling go any higher]] for the fifth generation. The official announcement of the fifth generation in late January 2010 wouldn't have been hilarious in itself... except that it happened only one week before Kirbopher, the creator of the animation, started voicing a character on ''[[Anime/{{Pokemon}} the actual show]]''.

* All the ghost stuff in the earlier seasons of ''Machinima/RedVsBlue'' ended up oddly prescient following TheReveal of [[spoiler:the ghosts actually being AIs]]. And in an specific case, Church's exasperated cry of, "Holy crap, who is running this army?!" becomes utterly hilarious when we find out the person running the Red and Blue armies is, in fact, [[spoiler:Dr. Leonard Church, whose mind served as an inspiration for the Church AI]].

** In a cross-show case, Season 16 has Atlus Arcadium Rex venting off his frustration by shooting lighting at a moon, eventually shattering half of it to make it resemble the moon from fellow Creator/RoosterTeeth show ''Webanimation/{{RWBY}}''. Come Volume 6 of that, the shattered moon ''was'' caused by an angry god throwing a fit.

** In "The Semi-Finals", Ian reveals that mummy terrorists used the Power Brick to summon their giant cat goddess Pockets to Legondo. Three years later, ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGONinjagoMovie'' featured another giant cat being summoned to a LEGO universe.

* In the 7th episode of ''WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosZ'', the Seven Koopalings and Bowser Jr. appear together, the first time in any Mario related things this has happened. Almost a year later, ''VideoGame/NewSuperMarioBrosWii'' comes out which has the first canonical game involving Bowser Jr. and the seven Koopalings being together...

** In the Strong Bad Email "techno", clicking on the Cheat's lightswitch at the end pops up a poster for a "lightswitch rave" featuring "DJ The Stick and DJ from ''Series/FullHouse''". Fast forward to 2016, and a sequel series called ''Series/FullerHouse'' has, among other things, Stephanie Tanner (''not'' her sister D.J., because {{irony}}) become an actual DJ.
