Even though Ryo doesn't explain the situation and it's in the middle of the night, Naoyuki doesn't ask any questions and doesn't hesitate to loan his bike to our hero. Despite Ryo's quest causing tension around his close friends, Naoyuki's still a friend through and through.

** Doubling as a TearJerker, if you visit Nozomi after you're fired but before you meet Tom, she'll thank Ryo for saving her and even ask if they can ride together on the motorcycle again. Talk to her more, and she'll ask Ryo if they go to a movie together and if she can visit Ryo's house. Although Ryo simply responds with a "yeah" both times, and Nozomi will sound excited each time, unfortunately it seems they never do.

* One scene that can be easily missed has Naoyuki and Ichiro visit Ryo's house shortly after Nozomi's Confession. Once Ryo gets there, they call him out and that his recent behavior is worrying Fuku-san. Not only did Fuku-san ask them to talk to Ryo, but they also assure him that they're there for him like any good friends are.
