** When Kira and Kisaka find Lacus, Ingrid takes her hostage and threaten to gouge out her eyes and cut out her vocal cords so she could no longer talk or sing, to which Kira declares that even if she did either or both he would still love Lacus no matter what. Lacus is so touched by this that she moves to embrace Kira, evidently forgetting that she was still being held at knifepoint, and telling him the words SEED fans have been waiting twenty years for one of them to say to the other:

** Lacus' love for Kira is just this in general. Despite being captured by Foundation and having a literal genetic match in Orphee, Lacus keeps resisting his advances because of her love for Kira. No matter what tactics Orphee used, from words to thoughts synchronization to even AttemptedRape, Lacus' love for Kira remains steadfast and immovable. It's especially heartwarming because things seemed far less certain in the first half of the movie. Lacus also makes clear that, contrary to what Orphee said and Kira himself worried over, she loves Kira not for what he can give her. He's not loved because he's needed to bring Lacus she desires, she just loves him because he himself is precious to her. Something which also is so against the Foundation's ideals that it enrages Orphee and kickstarts Ingrid's doubts and eventual rejection of those ideals

But this time, Shinn and Luna, each in their very same Gundams but upgraded to their Spec II versions, personally destroyed the superweapon for good, saving Orb. Bonus points for Shinn willingly defending Orb, further proving he has grown past his hatred of the country.

* Hilda was one of the most loyal Clyne Faction soldiers in ''Seed Destiny'' while Shinn was one of the most loyal soldiers to Durandal who wanted to destroy the Three Ships Alliance. Despite their history, Hilda holds no grudges against Shinn and even actively looks out for him from saving him from the Black Knights to stopping him from entering a fist-fight between Kira and Athrun.
* A FreezeFrameBonus of Shinn's belongings in Lunamaria's room when she thought he died when the Immortal Justice was destroyed shows that he still has Mayu's phone, confirming that it was not destroyed alongside the ''Minerva'' in ''Seed Destiny''.

---> '''Cagalli''' (thinking inwardly): "How dare you use Lacus's name! How dare you invoke it for such an ultimatum!"

** The main reason why Athrun "kidnaps" Cagalli ? She wanted to be away from her bodyguards for just a brief moment and them having replaced the staff ''and'' the customers of the restaurant she liked with Orb bodyguards ruined that little pleasure of her (Cagalli was understandably angry at them for that) and the chief bodyguard insisted to bring her back home calling her "selfish", objectifying Cagalli. This triggers Athrun so much that he decided to get Cagalli away from them, wanting to fulfill her wishes, even for just a moment, thinking she is still a person with desires and a heart. Cagalli was happy to go along with her boyfriend

* Kira and Lacus go on a little picnic date. Between their respective duties, it's nice to see the two young peacekeepers get some respite and just enjoy a romantic outing with one another.

* The Orb Military immediately rushes in to help Kira and the others make the ''Millennium'' hijacking look genuine, including firing live rounds at the ship, with one of the ship captains who was with Todaka when Kira hijacked Cagalli's wedding saying that they've learned to perform the "Shoot at the ship but miss with live rounds" from the late Captain.

* The Orb Military immediately rushes in to help Kira and the others make the ''Millennium'' hijacking look genuine, including firing live rounds at the ship, with one of the ship captains who served Todaka in the previous war, former First Lieutenant Amagi, swearing they will help Kira get back into space.

** Not to mention '''how''' he does it, which also shows that Athrun had time to come to terms with his mistake back in ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSeedDestiny SEED Destiny]]''. Last time this happened, Athrun not only sabotaged his relationship with Cagalli near-irreparably, and punched Shinn for seemingly killing Kira [[PoorCommunicationKills without giving so much an explanation]] of why, thus adding to his failure of mentoring Shinn, causing Shinn's SanitySlippage by the end, and [[TaughtByExperience nearly breaking up with Cagalli before he realized how wrong he was]]. By contrast, Athrun constantly explains to Kira ''while pummeling the shit out of him'', [[ExcellentJudgeOfCharacter still believing in Lacus]] and that he should talk things out with her so they can solve this without escalating the situation further. He is NOT letting his turmoil with Cagalli or Shinn's StartOfDarkness two years prior [[MyGreatestSecondChance happen to Kira or anyone else ever again]].
