* One of the new event choices added in Mirror of the Wuthering involves trying to personally guide [[MonsterFromBeyondTheVeil Wayward Passenger's]] way out. Succeed in the resulting check and it will actually bow to the Sinners out of gratitude at the exit before leaving, with the narrator noting that it seems like the Passenger wasn't actually lost and may have actually been trying to make sure the Sinners found the way out. Fail the check and... the Passenger shrugs at being lead in a circle and beckons the Sinners to follow it to the right exit anyway, confirming it already knew where the exit was and [[GoodAllAlong only stays to make sure anyone who ends up in its space know where to leave]].

* The VideoGameCaringPotential some choices have. Petting the fox actually makes it happy and will give you its gift in return. The second update has added an encounter for the Child Within a Flask gift, with a large flask abnormality containing 'droplets'. When one 'happy-faced droplet' gets pushed away by its angry peers, you have the choice to cheer it up. When you succeed doing so, it thanks you for freeing it and happily gives you its gift.

** After [[spoiler:Heathcliff has recovered from Distorting]] Meursault points out that the logical action would be to simply wait for the lightning to strike 7 times and obtain the Golden Bough...But then adds that considering Heathcliff's current state, it would be better to stop the lighting altogether even if it means failing to complete their mission. Remember this is coming from a man who was so apathetic in Canto 3 he didn't consider Sinclair having a panic attack to be worth mentioning and stated he would at most only put up a verbal protest if ordered to commit an atrocity on par with Nagel und Hammer's purges.

* In general, the whole Canto shows just how close the Sinners have gotten. Pretty much every time someone disrespects or insults Heathcliff, the Sinners chime in with their disapproval or defense, along with showing genuine concern for his mental and physical well-being throughout. They've [[TrueCompanions come a long way]] compared to when they were literally killing each other during the Prologue.

** [[spoiler: Heathcliff's line when using Bodysack changes after the end of the Canto, going from threatening to stuff the target into it to him musing that, even if her memory has been erased, [[IWillFindYou he'll find a way to bring Cathy back]]. And considering the powers the Golden Boughs have demonstrated and the fact Dante, Heathcliff, and Damian still remember her, [[RayOfHopeEnding the two of them might just have a chance to be together after all]].]]

* The ending can be described as nothing but bittersweet. [[spoiler:Heathcliff and Catherine, through the power of the Golden Bough, are able to communicate to each other freely through Dante's tablet in what is essentially a chat room, and confess their love for each other before Catherine asks Dante to [[RetGone remove her existence from every world.]] While Erlking Heathcliff and Every Catherine lament the loss of each other, our Heathcliff looks on solemnly as he realizes that Catherine's sacrifice has given every Heathcliff true freedom to pursue their own life. The last world viewed is parallel to the novel, with Heathcliff and Catherine [[TogetherInDeath buried along the moors of Wuthering Heights]] while what is presumed to be their Cathy and Hareton smile warmly at each other. While the Sinners lose the intact bough to Nelly returning it to Hermann, Heathcliff is finally free to move on from Wuthering Heights and pursue his own happiness as Catherine would have wanted.]]

* After enduring yet another round of Hindley's verbal abuse, Heathcliff finds himself in the position of the better man than him simply because he maintains his dignity, and declares that he only feels pity for his former abuser. Even Ishmael chimes in, telling Heathcliff that he's clearly grown up and changed for the better, while Hindley remains a pathetic {{Manchild}} who can only yell helplessly at all those he perceives as insulting him.
* Heathcliff has a few reunions upon his return to his home District which end up being rather pleasant despite the circumstances.
** The Sinners encounter Nelly upon entering the Wuthering Heights property, and she's clearly overjoyed to see him again for the first time in years. The two constantly reminisce throughout the first part of the Canto as she accompanies the Sinners.
** Once inside the manor itself, Heathcliff has an unexpected reunion with a friend from his days in the Dead Rabbits Syndicate, Matthew. Both are nothing but pleased to see each other again and talk at length about the old days and how much each of them has moved up in the world.

* Rodion and Hong Lu make good on their promise to give Heathcliff a makeover with which he can impress Cathy. And after they're all done, he turns out looking quite handsome to boot.
** Not only this, Vergilius gave everyone a slight PetTheDog moment by allowing them to take the extra time to make him over before getting them all to leave. This after so long of him becoming highly irritated by even the slightest hint of their shenanigans.

* The initial tension between Ahab and the Sinners is relieved when Queequeg reveals herself, and Ishmael drops everything and embraces her as soon as the fighting is over. Queequeg then goes to serve as the Sinners' guide to the Whale's heart, with many of Ishmael's memories of the two bonding coming to light.

* When Gregor gets close to one of Ran's robots, Heathcliff realizes something is off before anyone else and rushes to kick Gregor clear of the thing right before it explodes. Considering how blase everyone in the company has become about themselves and their teammates dying on a daily basis, it's oddly touching that Heathcliff's instinct was to keep Gregor from getting hurt.
** Similarly, when the Sinners are all injured by another massive explosion that leaves them all down for the count (with Meursault and Don Quixote noted to have taken the brunt), Heathcliff pipes up again. Even while he's bleeding out and dying painfully like the rest, he tells Dante to hurry up and turn back the clock because "that blonde haired lass is dying".

* Doubles as funny -- Lobotomy E.G.O::Red Sheet Sinclair generally appears as rather emotionless, but once you Uptie him, one of his dialogues has him thanking Dante for willing to use the cursed talismans with him and he actually sounds ''relieved'' for it, indicating that he may have been keeping his emotion bottled for the sake of the technology liberation alliance's mission. Though not a second later, he proceeds to get flustered and yell at Dante not to put the talisman on him "even as a prank".
