* Mike's relationship with Abby, his little sister. Even in the earlier scenes where he's worn out and she's not cooperating, his parental nature with her is sweet, and he does ''not'' want her going with Aunt Jane and even gets her a fake security badge as a gift. (She doesn't like it, but it's the thought that counts). Given how he's present in nearly every one of her drawings, as Abby's teacher points out, it's clear that Abby [[BigBrotherWorship thinks very highly of Mike]], despite his flaws.

* Mike and Vanessa's heart-to-heart talk by the river after the latter confronts him about the break-in at Freddy's, where he opens up to her about his tragic family history. [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure While she is initially stern about his negligence and ultimately tells him he needs to stay alert on the job, Vanessa shows sympathy towards his situation and tells him that in her eyes he's lucky he and Abby still have each other.]]

** Also serves as some life imitating art as Abby's actress Piper Rubio would hug the animatronics whenever she would show up to and leave the set. The film itself actually does incorporate a shot of Abby hugging Freddy, and the animatronic bear returns the favor. It's a nice little reminder that, regardless of how dangerous they can be, deep down the animatronics are still just children whose lives were cut tragically short by a serial killer.

''Franchise/FiveNightsAtFreddys'' as a whole is meant to scare us, with the movie being no different, but that doesn't stop any fluffy moments from happening.

* [[WebVideo/GameTheory MatPat]] and LetsPlay/CoryxKenshin's cameos. They're a big part of the reason the franchise is as big as it is today, so it only feels right that they get to take part in the long-awaited film. And while he unfortunately couldn't make it, the guard in the opening was written to be a cameo for the King of FNAF himself, WebVideo/{{Markiplier}}. Some fans have gone as far as bringing pictures or cardboard stand-ins of Markiplier to movie theaters or set up in their homes to make him part of the film in alternate ways.

** Even when it's revealed she's the daughter of the man who caused all of Mike's misery, her sympathy and kind words are genuine and she ultimately proves it by helping him and Abby take William down in the climax. While she ends up in a coma as a result, Mike and Abby clearly have her in their debt and Mike tells her in the hospital that they will be there when she wakes up.

* It's rather sweet that even after what almost happened to her, in the end, Abby still sees the animatronics as her friends and wishes to visit them.
** Additionally, Mike neither confirms or denies Abby's question if they could one day go back to the Pizzeria. While this may not seem like much, normally anyone would shut down such a question after everything that went down, showing that Mike doesn't view the animatronics as monsters and understands that they're just unfortunate children who were dealt a bad hand in life.

* Meta example: While critics didn't like the movie, audiences adored it with a 89% score on Metacritic. A lot of love has clearly gone into the final production, and the creative team worked hard to make it something that long-time fans of the franchise would enjoy. Audiences on opening night have reportedly burst into cheers after seeing [=MatPat=] and [=CoryxKenshin=], sung along to The Living Tombstone's song and exploded when William Afton says his iconic line: "I always come back!"

*** While Mike says the animatronics don't like him, given how Freddy relaxes once Abby reaffirms him, this would indicate that at the very least they don't ''hate'' him and as Abby's brother, don't have reason to target him and aren't looking for one [[spoiler: until he later gets in the way of making Abby one of them]].

* As much as Mike doesn't want to do it, he swallows his pride and calls Aunt Jane and asks her to look after Abby for him while he's at work--and is willing to entertain the idea of her taking custody as well. While he's doing so reluctantly; doesn't think Jane has Abby's best interest at heart and it's really only just because he wants to make sure Abby's safe too, Mike at least shows that he's not gonna hold a grudge against her like she is him and was willing to call another family member because he legit needed the help.

*** On that note, Freddy initially approaching Mike with hostility until he's calmed down by Abby could be interpreted as him wanting to protect her, which is understandable given how he and his friends died.
